What is the issue with the movie using wormholes? My biggest concern with the 'fake synopsis' is that there is a map to the Space Jockey planet hidden on our planet. I would much rather that the story be: the human race is making it's first attempt to transverse a nearby wormhole only to discover too late that it's a gateway to the Space Jockey planet; inevitably triggering human existance & demise, combining 2001, Event Horizon, and Star Trek elements while keeping it grounded in the Alien bio-mechanical universe.

Okay, I'm done postulating. Bring on the HD trailer!

Of course the studio is going to say the synopsis is fake, they don't want to confirm the entire plot is out there 8 months before the movie releases.

You may be on to something. But, this part of the synopsis boggles the mind:
