Offline downloads are an option with The Criterion Channel

What do you do with all the cases?
Store them in a storage facility like I do.

Interesting, but that's for Android and iOS devices. How about Macbook Pro laptop computers? I have an Android Samsung smartphone and no iPad or iPhone, and like David Lynch says: "Now if you playing the movie on a telephone, you will never in a trillion years experience the film!" I ascribe to his mantra.

I would reccomend these if you're looking to protect your discs more than sleeves. They're basically the ones that came in the matrix bluray box set but double.

If you're overseas already, I don't have any suggestions other than to jump on the current CC streaming deal:

I moved overseas about 3 weeks ago. So no chance to ship anything at this point. My shipment is arriving next month (mostly clothes, some books, some furniture, some kitchenware, and electronics).

I could sign up for the CC, but it doesn't work outside the US without a VPN so that goes back to my original issue of needing fast internet to play the movies effectively. I was ultimately going to buy a laser projector and hook up the laptop to a projector through my VPN service, although if I'm using Android TV, I have no clue if that would even work. This is all new to me. I'm so used to my old fashioned blu-rays, so these alternate methods are quite confusing.

That's not how digital copies work, for very obvious reasons.

That is not true. Any digital copy that I have on iTunes I download to a 4T external drive. I’m not sure if Vudu or Movies Anywhere has that option other then to download via the mobile app for offline viewing, but iTunes does.

For obvious reasons, I have nearly every movie from my iTunes downloaded and stored on a hard drive. Obviously.

You're not experiencing the movie watching it on a laptop either.

I am by connecting an HDMI cable to it and running it into a laser projector and enlarging the picture into a 120 inch screen.

Is anyone anal and nerdy like me, and actually keeps the blue stickers with the director's signature? Most of the times the blue sticker on the shrink wrap is just a generic one, and I always throw those away. But the director-approved editions usually have one that has the signature. It's a nice touch that I wish more editions by other companies would have. It's like the director autographed your disc on the cover or something.

Question What Criterion films should I buy next?

At the last Criterion sale I picked up three films. I grabbed The Lure, Crash, and the Tati box set. What are some of your recommendations to grab for the next sale? I already have these following titles:

Seven Samurai
The Silence of the Lambs
Salo or The 120 Days of Sodom
Summertime
Brazil
High and Low
Chasing Amy
The Blob
The Ruling Class
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas
Videodrome
Hunger
House
Kicking and Screaming
The Night of the Hunter
Anti-Christ
Five Easy Pieces
The Four Feathers
Godzilla
The Devil’s Backbone
Tie Me Up! Tie Me Down!
The Complete Jacques Tati
Night of the Living Dead
Eraserhead
The Lure
Midnight Cowboy
Until the End of the World
The Elephant Man
Crash
Man Bites Dog
The Life Aquatic of Steve Zissou
The Royal Tenenbaums
Yojimbo

I am kind of everywhere on the board here. Can’t wait to hear everybody’s responses! Thanks!

I see you have no Charlie Chaplin. My personal favorite are Modern Times, City Lights and the Great Dictator, but you can't go wrong with any imo.
Safety Last is another great silent comedy.
Paths of Glory is one of my favorite war films.
Mulholland Drive is one of my favorite films, period.
It seems your open to non english, so Ingmar Bergman is another filmmaker you should give a try. My personal favorites are Fanny and Alexander, Persona, The Virgin Spring and the Seventh Seal. But like Chaplin he has plenty that are worth checking out.

I don’t own any Chaplin films... yet. I have seen The Kid, Gold Rush, The Great Dictator, and City Lights. I need to give Modern Times a view for sure. Paths of Glory is on my soon to watch list. I loved Mulholland Drive. I thought I would watch The Seventh Seal for Bergman first the check out other stuff for the director. So many movies to watch, so little time!

Thank you for your suggestions.
