Yep, that's the 3rd. Although it was technically still 2021 when she passed. I keep thinking of ones that die in the new year.

Does Criterion have the license? I know they licensed two other MGM Hitchcocks (Notorious and Rebecca), which I have, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

Through an indirect confirmation by the Kino Insider (MisterLime at the time), it's definitely with Criterion. Part of a package deal with Straw Dogs, Notorious, and Rebecca.

Not that it would be completely pointless for Criterion to acquire it simply to release another Blu-ray of it, but I do feel it's enough of a prestige title that if there is a 4K scan/restoration of it available, it is very much deserving of a UHD release. I have no idea what the original BD's source was. If it turns out there's no 4K scan/restoration of it available, then obviously there's little choice for Criterion there. Extras were lacking on Warner's BD too, so either way, it's a good pick-up for Criterion.

I was going through some of Guillermo Del Toro's old tweets (a great source of movie and book recommendations) and came across a 2020 tweet where he says that he's working with Criterion to release most of Bunuel's Mexican films! I had no idea this was happening. Great news!
