Petite Maman and Thelma & Louise day one.

That artwork for Petite Maman is beautiful.

Those May 4Ks oh my. Seems that Criterion is all-in on 5.1 audio for their 4Ks.

In for everything except Petite mama only because I've never seen it. Will try to find out more about it.

Looks like Wings and Branded are SDR 4K only?

I know Deakins has been pretty hard on applying HDR to older films as he feels it is often a betrayal of the cinematographer's vision. Maybe Criterion shares this sentiment?

Branded to Kill UHD!!! How cool is that!? Hopefully Tokyo Drifter will get the same treatment!

And finally Targets is on bluray! Wish it were a UHD though...

Great month. A BD debut, a UHD debut. US BD debut, US UHD debut. Pretty great.

I've recently thought it was there sly way of releasing remastered films already out in bluray in there collection. Only actually re-released bluray was Monterey Pop I believe. Anything else was restricted to a Box set.

I’m in for all of these, but to have Scott’s first Criterion include Boy and Bicycle is the icing on the cake.

Nice to see BRANDED TO KILL is coming to 4K. Would like to see KANTO WANDERER, YOUTH OF THE BEAST, GATE OF FLESH, and TOKYO DRIFTER make the leap to UHD, too.

Just got back from the eye docto, so I missed the announcements, but great month! Excited for Petite Maman, and Branded to Kill. This is the first Japanese studio (Nikkatsu) to license 4K rights to Criterion too, so that's exciting. I've never seen Targets, but based on the reactions it's getting, I'm likely blind-buying it.

I’m most excited for Branded to Kill on 4K! It’s one I kept almost buying the Blu, and I’m glad I skipped it!

Also getting Thelma & Louise 4K, Targets & Petite maman!

Branded to Kill only has a couple of brief featurettes, though obviously 4K is the main attraction. Not like the UK disc had much either.

Wasn't BFI waiting on Paramount to complete a 4K restoration of Targets? I see this is only 2K.

Thelma and Louise has a wonderful Hans Zimmer soundtrack I recall.
