I would argue, and I'm sure Apple would agree, that KOTFM holds more value as an AppleTV+ exclusive as opposed to an external license.

No one was going to give Scorsese a $200M+ budget to film what is practically speaking a $75 - $50M property. They did, and also funding a 5-part documentary which premieres in October, so it makes sense to keep it as an exclusive for the moment and drive subs. In other words, money isn't the key driver, exclusivity is. Regardless, I'm still hopeful that at some point Apple will bundle both and whatever else Scorsese may deliver under their banner for a Criterion release.

Speaking of which, never mind KOTFM, which I rank as a lesser entry in his filmography, but fingers crossed for Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.

My Dad took me to see my first Scorsese, Taxi Driver in 73. Filmed in the neighborhood in which he grew up (and lived around the block from the Scorsese's), he relished pointing out the parish and school he attended and served as an altar boy (the original St. Patrick's).

But it was my Mom who I accompanied to see Alice a year later, and as I remember it, we walked out and she said, "Wasn't she something?"

Agree - it's basically a loss-leader.

Angus has a 30th anniversary next month. It has two academy award winners in the cast, and could include the TV cut. Maybe that's more for Arrow? I'll always champion this getting a decent release from somewhere. The soundtrack was great too.

Next year is the anniversary of Kids in the Hall: Brain Candy. Just sayingggg.

The way I read his post made it sound like it could be a centennial boxset like they did for Bergman. I could be wrong though.

If I Know Where I'm Going! isn't announced this time, then I give up hoping and waiting for anything that I want.

I'd take a Fox era set if they wanna do that.

3 Women, A Wedding, Quintet, A Perfect Couple, and Health.

Someone asked him if it was for the website and he confirmed it is for the site.

I don't know if it still drives subs at this point, but it drives home the idea that if you want any of their "original" content you have to subscribe because it's not coming to disc or digital purchases for a long time.

That works much better with a high profile title like KOTFM as opposed to Finch, which just showed up on FAH.

That big budget is just marketing budget for AppleTV+

Lost in Translation 4K
The Night of the Hunter 4K
The Sweet Hereafter 4K (with "The Adjuster" as a BD extra)

If they go the Kubrick route with Lolita, I expect them to re-release The Killing/Killer's Kiss and Paths of Glory in 4K.

EDIT: I forgot about Janus Contemporaries. It should be "Caught in the Tides" as it just premiered this month on the Channel.
Final list:

12 Angry Men 4K
Caught in the Tides BD
Eclipse Series 47 BD
Il Grido BD
House Party 4K
Love Letters BD
Raising Arizona 4K

This right here intrigues me.

Films streaming on TCC don't indicate disc releases, but Boogie Nights is the only PTA New Line film leaked for 4K from WB directly.

My fingers are crossed for his best film to get a spine.

I know as said above that something being on the channel doesn't mean it's coming to the Collection soon but there's a lot of recently speculated titles in that lineup.
