Went all blind buys and got:
The Complete Monterey Pop The Leopard The War Room Vampyr Really excited to see all of them, especially The Leopard. I try not to buy DVD's anymore, and now they will probably announce a bluray next month, but the script and story that comes with Vampyr sold me, plus the film just sounds awesome anyway. |

It is in a way but I live in Canada and they would ship to me but the shipping rates they have pretty much kill any deal they offer. I can only imagine how much they would charge to ship international, would probably make the deal worthless

Decided to jump on the flash deal. It's my first time ordering directly from their site, so I hope it goes smoothly.
Wound up getting: The 39 Steps A Night to Remember The Gold Rush The Great Dictator La Haine World on a Wire Out of these, World on a Wire and 39 Steps are blind-buys. Did I make a good choice there? ![]() |

This was my first time ordering from Criterion's website and it looks like I picked a good time since they changed their shipping rates to Canada. I decided to get Complete Jean Vigo an Vivre sa vie. Still waiting for my order of Chungking Express and Playtime from B&N too.

Playtime (pretty funny. Go check it out) The Battle of Algiers (it's awesome. A must-see!) David Lean Directs Noel Coward (I wasn't as impressed with this set as I thought I would be; In Which We Serve and Blithe Spirit were pretty good, didn't care for the other two that much) M (I loved this one; should be a must-see) The Gold Rush (it's a classic! Get it!) The Game (disliked it, as did plenty of other folks) The Vanishing Lady (you mean The Lady Vanishes? It's decent) Traffic (I personally disliked it, but it seems like 99% of everybody else loves this, so don't take my word for it) Kagemusha (long, but good) |
