I can probably stretch for 1-2 more. Out of the following what would you suggest?

3:10 to Yuma
Repulsion
Quadrophenia
Gomorrah
Marketable Lazarova
Paths of Glory

Thanks

Repulsion and Paths of Glory; both the most accessible on the list (haven't seen 3:10, which I imagine isn't difficult to get into.)

Non Criterion related but I bought The Day the Earth Stood Still (1951) and All Quiet on the Western Front today. Excited to check both of them out. Anyone care care to share your thoughts on them?

I've got a User Review for this movie under the site link. I thoroughly enjoyed it, although it's quite bewildering for the first 40 minutes or so until you get settled in to the film style. It's an interesting story, but it's also depicted in a detached way, with voiceovers that often do not match the characters on screen, and with unannounced flashbacks.

The images throughout the movie are nothing short of miraculous, though.

Just roll with it, let the movie pick you up, and do not try to figure anything out until you get into a groove. It's a real adventure of a film.

By far, the best U2 concert I saw was the 2001 Elevation concert here in Pittsburgh. I got into the heart and also had a photo pass so I was able to stand next to the walkway where Bono was performing. I captured some great photos of that show too. Feel free to read my review and check out the pics here on my site: http://u2station.com/tours/2001/05/m...llon-arena.php
I was hoping for ZooTV to be released on Blu-Ray when the Achtung Baby box set came out. Sadly, that didn't happen but hopefully we'll get it soon. I really want U2 3D on Blu, even though I don't have a 3D TV or player.

Thanks for the link. Great review and pictures!

Now that Paramount has the rights to La Dolce Vita, what are the odds of Criterion releasing it?

Alright, I've decided to limit myself to 6 blu rays during this sale. Naked Lunch and Marketa Lazarova are the only two I'm 100% certain on picking up.

I need help choosing 4 from these 8 choices. All will be blind purchases:

The Wages of Fear
Rushmore
On the Waterfront
Blow Out
The Thin Red Line
Wings of Desire
Eating Raoul
House

What would you guys suggest?

I haven't seen all of them, but Wages of Fear and Blow Out are two of the funnest Criterions I own. Both highly recommended by me.

I have On The Waterfront unwatched, but I am very much looking forward to it.

Blind buys?

The first four. Wages, Rush, Waterfront and Blow Out.

I own them all though and all are worth it though.

The Thin Red Line and On The Waterfront are MUST own Criterion titles. Blow Out is also amazing and my last vote goes to Eating Raoul cause it only gets better with repeated viewings.
The Wages Of Fear and Rushmore are also really great though...definitely cant go wrong with any of these, really!

I'm still a little pissed towards Amazon for never sending me a copy of Marketa after having it on preorder for three months. I'm just going to pick it up at this sale now. I would have loved to have watched it weeks ago.
