Yes, but it is OOP because the Olympic Committee pulled it, yet they were responsible for the 4K restoration last year. I'm hoping they've changed their mind.

And yes, there's a bit of wishful thinking.

This was my second go as a background extra, since I took a day off last year to work on the set of another movie that was also filmed in my neck of the woods. I intended last year's experience to be a one-time-only bucket list sort of thing, but I loved being on a film set with major actors and seeing a big production, so I jumped at the chance to participated in today's shooting, which is part of an even bigger production.

If any of you get a chance to work as extras for movie productions in your area, then take advantage of it. It's a really cool thing to do if you have any interest in seeing a filming up close and personal.

Steering this big ship back into Criterion waters, I want to see a Friday announcement for...

In a Lonely Place
Carnival of Souls
Brute Force
The Naked City
Thieves' Highway
Night and the City
Le Samouraï
They've filmed here a few times for films like Waterworld, Black Widow, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, etc. mostly second unit stuff for the scenery. I did try out as an extra on Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes as a "skinny" slave and that was fun.
What used to be kind of surreal was going to the other side of the island and cresting over a hill and seeing in the distance......the water village set still standing from Waterworld! It was there in the harbor for a few years until Super Bowl Sunday '91 when a pretty big offshore storm blew it away!

In a Lonely Place and After Hours would be a great month for me. So much of Bogart's best stuff still needs a blu upgrade, and more Scorsese is always welcome.

The restored prints are now being shown in theaters around the country, and in November, Criterion will release them on DVD and Blu-ray

Would it be too much to wish for Mulholland Drive and Gilda in one month?

Honorable mention for Two Women, plus upgrades for The Lady Eve and/or I Vitelloni (which may be unlikely so soon after Fellini Satyricon).

How long did Criterion take to release The Great Beauty after it was released?

Also what is the best film to follow A Woman Under the Influence from that set? I really loved it, can't wait to watch again it didn't even feel like a long film

Really hoping for this too.
After all it's its 60th anniversary and the last month of summer would be ideal to release it!

I also want a Blu-ray upgrade of Equinox, because summer would be the perfect time for it.
