I have continued to analyze the photo and for some reason thought of Flash Gordon with the "flash" on the side of the planet, but there's no way that 1980 film would be a good candidate, as its a downright awful movie (plus it already has a mediocre blu-ray release).

I went on Youtube and saw some clips and it looks interesting, worth at least a watch. I know Roger Ebert wrote the screenplay ( I watched the documentary) and at least Arrow will be releasing it in the U.K.

Let's hope they spring these on us as a surprise and not skip them completely in 2016. Especially The Naked Prey since IRRC that was released by Eureka in 2015.

Recently watched samurai rebellion and I'm wondering if anyone here thinks an update is due? Is it popular enough to warrant one? Came out on DVD in 2005.

It's definitely one of the well-known Samurai films and Kobayashi films. Update may depend on when a suitable Japanese master is available from the studio (Toho?), most of them do not hand out film elements to any outside parties.
