Yeah I'm hoping so. It did get a standalone release from BFI in the UK, but a new WCP boxset makes more sense for CC I think.

edit: about the announcements:
if they are to rerelease a standalone Bluray coming from a box, I really hope it's The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
I saw it for the first time this Christmas and I really look forward to buying it, but I'm not buying the whole box.
You're missing out on so much. Ignoring the fact it's a dual release, the other films in the set are fabulous. I'm pleased with the set.

Also, this nonsense about lesser titles in the summer is silly. I've bought a lot of summer releases, and frankly don't care if they aren't popular with the masses.

These lists of "popular" summer titles are nonsense, as they're leaving off quite a few good ones, like The Music Room, The Battle of Algiers, Beauty and the Beast, and Repulsion.

Not to mention Mystery Train which could be my most viewed CC blu-ray.

I've actually noticed that a few of Criterion's expensive out of print titles, such as Leon Morin, Playtime (the original solo release), and Last Year at Marienbad also came out during the summer months.

I didn't even list all of the good summer titles, just a few I wasn't seeing on the "popular" lists. I always dislike the "popular" ones, because what the majority deem popular on here, isn't what is always popular outside of this forum.

My predictions for this weeks release announcements:

Liquid Sky (1982)
The Worthless (1982)
Pink Floyd The Wall (1982)
The Keep (1983)
The Dead Zone (1983)
Nostalgia (1983)
Blood Simple (1984)
Body Double (1984)
The Hit (1984)
Sexmission (1984)

I sense that all of these are right.

I'm thinking Bergman. We haven't had a Bergman in over a year. We need more Bergman, preferably The Virgin Spring.

I just finished watching Zatoichi and the Fugitives.

Zatoichi and the Fugitives is one of the strongest entries in the series. The presence of actor Takashi Shimura (Seven Samurai, Ikiru, etc.) is most welcome, and, as expected, some of the greatest moments in the movie are due to his interactions with Katsu. Yumiko Nogawa's Oaki plays a sexy femme fatale of sorts, and it's fun to watch her trying to sneak past Zatoichi throughout the film. This film is the most relentlessly violent Zatoichi title to date, although I suppose that it's no surprise that these movies get more visceral as they edge closer to the 1970s. I won't go so far as to say that the increased violence makes the films more engaging, but I do think that additional suspense is generated in the films when we are wondering how far the action scenes will take it.

I'm thinking of a certain film noir title that has never been commercially released on home video in the US. If it's announced tomorrow, I would be very happy.

I'm only going guess one: Heart of a Dog. Criterion has it available on demand and it's quite recent, so I imagine there will be enough of a theatrical-to-home video window to release it in June.

The rest should be left up to imagination (I expect mainly upgrades).

This is my last remaining title that I refuse to buy on DVD because I knew the Blu-ray is coming eventually.

I have the opposite feeling towards Hoop Dreams - the run time could have been 18 hours and I would still feel enthralled with every minute. I don't know what you mean about making one point and then repeating itself. The arc of Gates' and Agee's story could not have been more interesting if it were scripted as fiction.

I agree. Arthur starts out struggling, has to transfer, then sees a lot of success as his HS career closes. While William starts out successful, becomes a star, then has a brutal string of injuries. If there's one thing that "Hoop Dreams" is not, it's repetitive.

That's the same reason I chose an Ozu film for my upgrade slot

Speaking of Ozu, what could the chances be of a Floating Weeds upgrade?
