I concur! Nun's Story is probably my next favourite. Having them all is a total given! I have been dreaming of a Complete Audrey Boxset lately. Dunno if that will happen but I can dream.

I am also wondering about the DNR on these releases. I love me some grain. Don't like having it messed with.

Those Sabrina shots look beautiful, definitely a huge step-up from the DVD, and DNR if any appears to have been applied very carefully, because there's no significant loss of detail. The DVD on the other hand seems to have a layer of noise and artefacting.

I watched the region free UK Blu-ray of Sabrina earlier this evening and loved it. Billy Wilder couldn't have directed a bad movie if he had tried. Audrey Hepburn is adorable, and Bogart is incredibly cool as always.

I think that the video presentation of this UK Blu-ray is quite beautiful. There are no special features at all on the disc, so the film itself is just one big special feature.

I still find Funny Face underrated, one of my favourite musical films of all time. The Technicolor cinematography looks stunning and apart from Hepburn at her most loveable, it also features the multi-talented Kay Thompson in one of her rare screen appearances, who steals every scene she's in.

Same here. I've waited long enough for Sabrina and Funny Face to get US releases, so they will both be obvious day 1 buys for me.

I have to admit I think Funny Face is pretty bad. I always thought the story and characters were really dumb. It felt like they were encouraging women to be air heads instead of intellectual. That being said I love the film because it is absolutely charming. Audrey's singing voice is a complete dopamine rush for me. My feelings for that movie are so mixed.

Love in the Afternoon is available in HD at iTunes. These screencaps are from a 720p 4GB download, so there is serious compression. Overall it looks good with no digital tampering, but the transfer has dirt and white specks throughout.

It's one of my favorites and it features two of my top Hepburn scenes with her singing "How Long Has this Been Going On", and the dance at the club. Maybe it doesn't send out the greatest message but it's just so much fun to watch with the catchy songs and gorgeous technicolor. Fred Astaire was past his prime but could still bust a move. And I re-watch it more often than the more popular My Fair Lady because Hepburn's performance is better and she actually gets to sing. The last scene outside the church always puts a smile on my face.

I gotta admit I always found her My Fair Lady performance more enjoyable. To me Funny Face is just her being absolutely adorable. The cockney accent seems like it would be difficult to pull off not to mention the eccentric nature of Eliza comes across very well. That being said I am no expert on acting and it could be possible Eliza's eccentricities make the performance appear more impressive?

Sadly no. From wikipedia:

Hepburn's singing was judged inadequate, and she was dubbed by Marni Nixon, who sang all songs except "Just You Wait", where Hepburn's voice was left undubbed during the harsh-toned chorus of the song and Nixon sang the melodic bridge section. Some of Hepburn's original vocal performances for the film were released in the 1990s, affording audiences an opportunity to judge whether the dubbing was necessary.

Audrey Hepburn did record all the songs but only two with her singing are on the DVD/Blu-ray special features. "Wouldn't It Be Loverly" and "Show Me". The rest are said to be lost.
