Thanks. If you have a .mkv file that was shot in 24 frames per second, just look at output in the info bar on your TV. If it's 24p or 50/60p. Make sure the resolution setting in your 4K Blu-ray player is on auto.
-Or if you have an audio delay set up (for lip sync) you will notice different behaviour too. -And by playing you will have a "video look" instead of the 24 frames. Here's also a topic on the Sony forums about the 2015 models. I really wonder if Sony "fixed" this. https://community.sony-europe.com/t5...ector?nobounce ![]() Last edited by Pieter V; 04-28-2017 at 06:59 PM. |

Pieter V - just tried 5 different mkv files and they all show 60p.
On a side note, a few more apps were installed. Sirius XM, Berliner Philharmonic, Mubi, and Slacker Radio. |

In order to do that, they wanted me to make a phone call. Sony (4K) Blu-ray players are great and silent players, but this "feature" should be removed. If anyone in the USA wants to contact Sony about this, here is the telephone number: [Show spoiler] I will also contact Sony Netherlands about this. |

The player can output mkv's in native 24p output. You must select network 24p output in display settings. Not enabled by default. All sony players from 2015 can do this. Nothing special.

So I have had this issue with both x800 and x1000es if I leave a movie on pause and come back 20 minutes or so later both the TV and player are shut off. I have Sony HDTV 2016 model 930D. It happens every time I take a break to do other stuff, quite annoying. Anyone have any idea if this is some kind of setting issue? Does not do it with Oppo 203 or UB900, if I use those players I can take a break for 20 mins and come back and player is still on and I can resume movie. Both Sony players shut off and TV does the same. I can't find what the problem is.

I don't think the x1000es is out yet, so how could you have that problem with that player? Crutchfield says Pre-Order and it's not even on the Sony site yet. |

I don't turn everything off, but yeah if it's more than a quick pause it's better to stop the disc. Most have resume now anyway and if they don't it's pretty easy to get to a timecode.
