JohnAV. In my last few post here you have EXACTLY what I said(since about June 12th). What you say... is only what you say.

My only real complaint right now is we still don't have Amazon HDR, but at least the UHD streaming is 24hz and razor sharp. |

How are you confirming 24p output on the Amazon and Netflix Apps? I can see it in the YouTube app in the stats section. No problem. However, the display option on the x800 remote for Netflix and Amazon doesn't display the data for confirmation. If one was able to force 24p output then I'd say it's obvious, but the only options are Auto or off in the settings for the x800 pertaining to 24p. Side question: Is anyone receiving VUDU in 4K yet on the X800? I have the LG B6 and 4k still isn't an option. It is there on the Vudu native TV app though. I would be ok with waiting on Vudu HDR because Amazon is lacking it still, but why 4K alone isn't an option has me surprised. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

AVR reports framerate. Sony has been sending 24hz for Netflix and Amazon streaming for a few generations now.

Its one of the reasons I love these for streaming, the motion.

IIRC, it is 24hz as well, but I do not use it.

It is not. Ive read some posting that they are particular about security requirements on Vudu UHD, and that is the reason it is not on many standalone devices.

Interesting. Thanks. That blows. Hopefully It will get it eventually. Vudu is leading the charge on streaming top quality soundtracks, including Atmos. Can't get that via Arc or Optical from the native TV apps. Would be nice to watch in 4K though. Ha. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

No dates specified at above when those DV Sony Trade Shows or DV Press Conferences to occur. Nor at "an OPPO 203 to show How Magnificient their DV MetaData Encode is on Sony Disc Movies" when multiple Sony DV "movies" are out. Demo maybe with Sony DV Movie thats not Resident Evil.

"A big surprise from CES 2017 was Sony’s support for Dolby Vision, a feature that was secretly built into their TVs as far back as fall of 2016 with the release of the Z9D which was then activated via a future firmware update. With the Z9D, X930/940E, and A1E supporting the format, the next obvious answer would be for Sony Pictures to support the format."
Sony is So Sweet. Lets see what other future Sugar will surprise us. |
