Does anyone have this bluray player hooked up to a Sony X900e. I've got both TV and player hooked up to a reviver using HDMI 2 because that port has the enhanced display signal for HDR. I get not picture using that setting. I have to switch the TV (HDMI 2) back to standard display. I have the HDR setting on the Player on Auto. I have my Xbox One X also hooked up and it works fine with the enhanced setting on that HDMI port. Any info greatly appreciated.

I have been running this on my 1080p sony xbr. Missed the boat on upgrading before they totally killed 3D. If I upgrade I loose my 3D so staying put. Have figured out turning off the 4K up converter really improves the picture. Turn it from auto to off. For those still running it on a 1080p tv.

When I go to play a movie or show, rarely will it play with 5.1 sound. When it does, it eventually cuts out after a few minutes and goes mute. The only way for me to get the audio back is to change to the non-5.1 sound option. Any help with a fix would be appreciated.

Question. I recently got this player. I’ve watched some movies now with no issues with PQ with my TV set to game mode so there is no motion interpolation. However, when watching some of the Harry Potter films recently there seemed to be some weird motion. It looked fine for one portion of the movie and then it’s luke it started having some motion issues randomly. I’ve looked at the settings and still can’t figure it out. I think it might be because of a player setting but I’m not sure. Any suggestions? I have 24p set to auto.

But it seems almost like a player issue. Not sure exactly. |

Could it be because my tv is 120hz? I know the multiplier of 24 fits. So the 24fps should be fine. If I select 24p it causes a audio delay but on auto there is no audio delay.
On the off setting the player displays 60p. That also fits into the 120hz of the tv. In any case I’m wondering if there’s some setting that might help. The first two Harry Potter movies looked AMAZING but the others (digital instead of film) have had scenes that look perfect and others where the motion isn’t as smooth. I’d check out the 60p setting more but movies are 24fps so I’m not sure if that’s a good idea or not. |
