You Tube uses VP9 Profile 2 for HDR. A device that has access to HDR from Youtube has to be able to decode VP9 Profile 2.
The vast majority of devices do not have this capability.

Hopefully the X800 has this capability. But I have no idea.

I'm really liking this player so far, it has a nice sturdy build plus it loads faster and is more responsive than the UB900 IMO.

Almost makes me wanna forget about the lack of a display.

I've been pleased so far with this one. Bluetooth is good for us apartment dwellers who can't blast it at night.

A good disc player imo should always have a display but there are exceptions. Both the Samsung K8500 and the Sony x800 have easy ways to view the time, chapter point etc with the remote all it takes is just a quick click. Still cheapens the player by not having a display on the front but it's at least easy to see where your at.

I think it makes the player better. I would pay extra money for a device not to have a display. Besides, even the X1000 just has a very simple display showing time. It's basically worthless when you can just hit the display button to see the time elapsed time and much, much more info.

I really hate all the extraneous light produced by displays. I use LightDims on just about every device with an LED or display to block or at least reduce the light output.

I registered mine on Friday, still waiting. It does say it'll take 2-4 business days. I'm interested to see what movies they offer.

Got my email with the code a few hours ago. They didn't have much of a selection to be honest. Ended up going with Ghostbusters 2016 and Sausage Party lol.

Would've picked Passengers buuut of course it was out of stock.

Darn, I wish someone would post an exact list. There were 17 titles a couple of months ago, but now there seem to be some new titles since added.

You guys are lucky to have a choice of two titles at all. Over here we're stuck with a copy of Inferno that's included in the box and that's it.

They were out of stock on a lot of stuff when I picked mine. Not sure they're in a rush to re-stock popular and newer titles.

You could have waited. I waited a week or two until Passengers was back in stock before I placed my order last month. I got the two free titles plus two more titles at a discount.

Currently this is my number 1 pick for a player when I get a 4k tv later this year but the only thing that nags at is me is the DV support. I'd hate to get it and then bam, DV discs come out and I need a new player. Hard enough to convince the wife we need a new player to begin with.
