I miss my PVR.
I'm watching football now, but have watched the MLB playoffs too. I miss having the ability to pause and rewind.

What I'm thinking? What I'm thinking is i seriously need to get off my ass and f**king do something already that I've been talking about for years.

I know this will make me sound like a bad person, but whatever. When I'm on facebook and i see former classmates and see that they've got married or are expecting kids. Or posting pictures of their kids. Just makes me realize how much of a screw up I am with my life for doing nothing with it up to this point.

Trying to find a job to save up and do what I wanna. But i can't seem to find one, most likely cause i have no car or license and only so much in my Bank account. Which is about so much a month I'm paying for rent and food. Also why I'm selling so many of my movies on here aswell.

I just needed to vent and get that little bit of frustration I'm feeling in life right now.

Keep the spirit though, most people go through hard times in their lives and even if I'm only 51 (everything being equal) I can say that you do grow a much better person for it as long as you continue. Things always get better.

But a rant one in a while also helps

For me I'm thinking how much faster I'd get my projector setup if I just *****ng quit smoking

I say that cause I'm 31 and still live at home with my dad, with no job, car, or license. Just makes me feel like such a sorry. I should have moved out like 10 years or so ago. It's like I'm emotionally stunted or something. lol. I always try to think of the better. Even if sometimes I can't.

But speaking of smoking, my mom just quit smoking. It's been a few weeks for her, and she smoked close to 35 years or so

I don't see those as negatives. Too be honest I get sick of only seeing Facebook updates where many people I went to school with just talk about their kids all the time, particularly the women. I don't have kids, and personally I don't want them. Kids are too much effort and cost too much money IMO. I don't have the patients and don't want the hassle. My fiancée and I have been together for just over 10 years (we have been engaged for 3 and a half years, and are in no rush to get married) and she feels a similar way. My old man is very money driven, watching his bank balance grow is one of his favorite hobbies lol. I talk to him about it every now and then, and as much as he loves my brother and I (there is nothing he wouldn't do for us), he thinks it's wise not have kids because of the cost involved and how much more you can get ahead without them.

As for not having a car and license, if you don't have kids honestly you don't really need to if you are close to everything, and reliable public transport. Driving can be a chore and just an extra expense that's not needed. I can't speak for the U.S but here in Australia all the annual expenses associated with driving cost a lot, you can save so much money by not driving. I try not to drive as much as possible. My in-laws live about 6-8 hours away, up the east coast of Australia, and the drive is just a huge pain in the arse. My fiancée and I often travel up there on the train now, that way we both can just relax the whole way of the journey. Sometimes we even just fly, which saves us more than 5 hours and only costs just over $100 each one way. That's not bad considering it costs $80 each way by train.

Edit: My brother is 28, and about a year ago he met a women with a 6 month old. He now spends a lot of his spare money on the young boy. He bought his own apartment a few years ago, and if he wasn't now spending money on this kid then he could have his mortgage paid off much quicker. I do respect what he is doing, he loves the boy like he is his own, but when I see the things he goes through, and the changes he has made to his life, I know that it's just not for me.

If you are happy, then why try to follow everyone else and do things that aren't you just because it's considered to be the norm?

I understand the pressure and know that whatever anyone tells you, you will still feel it. Now that you know you don't like certain things in your life (whether you should or not) is time for you my friend to give yourself some goals. You can't change what's past, but sure can change your future. Decide where you want to be in 2-3 years (and longer) and go for it.

Thanks for the smoking bit

what you don't read on facebook about those same people are the problems and troubles they have in their lives. trust me, everyone has problems. just because you don't read about it on facebook doesn't mean it's not happening.

so keep your head up and keep on keepin' on (yeah, cheesy i know; but it's all i got).

and if i told you about my current situation, you'd feel much better.....trust me.

+1

face book is a book of lies. book of wanna be`s. book of pretend.

people post (mostly) positive stuff. divorce, forget it. drugs - nope. new expensive car - hell yeah, with pics. so what ? life is ups and downs. as it should be.

I have plenty of negative stuff going on in my life. but I love my dogs and wife. kids we are not gonna ever have. kind of full of my work. love studying in uni - tho it`s very hard. but my health is no good.

day by day man.

f**k face book.

hope all good things to all of you !
