Well, even if a microwave couldn't on their own - some refrigerators could, as well as some oven/microwave combos. Several have built in wifi/tv and can be monitored away from home. Thus, would have the ability to be tapped into. Samsung has a ton of built in TV/WIFI fridges. Type in Kitchen "built in wifi" and you will see a ton of every day products that can be controlled via apps and have screens/mics/etc and thus are all subject to abuse.

She's an idiot a lot of the time, but technically she isn't wrong here.

I never said a fridge couldn't. I'm well aware of smart fridges. However she specifically said microwaves. I found only one wifi microwave and it isn't something you can walk into Walmart, Kmart, Sears, target, etc...And buy. If she just said kitchen appliance I wouldn't even have said something. She picked the "dumbest" of all kitchen appliances as her choice which is stupid as hell. Basically this yet again would fall into a "well that's not what i meant" situation which is about most of what this administration seems to say. They say one thing and later say "well I actually meant (fill in the blank)".

That's about enough though without going down a political root because that's not what this site is for. My main point overall is she is a damn idiot about 99% of the time.

I just googled microwave oven wifi combo units and there's a shit ton that can be app connected. They are expensive units, but they do exist. I don't disagree that she's an idiot tho, but bullying her on something that does in fact exist doesn't help. Being nitpicky on exact wordage is getting nothing accomplished. The point was/is that you can wiretap everyone pretty easily. The media has got to chill on this "Gotcha" journalism. Obama couldn't spell RESPECT ffs and we gave that a pass.

If that's the point say it though. Say what the hell you mean. "Bowling Green massacre" doesn't mean that it means guys arrested sending guns. "Wire tapping" doesn't actually mean wire tapping it means surveillance. "Microwave camera" doesn't mean an actual microwave it means a kitchen appliance.

And sure there is the combo unit, but that's seriously looking for a way to justify the word microwave. Those things a basically a damn oven that happens to have a microwave as part of it.

Again if microwave means kitchen appliance ffs say kitchen appliance. I expect more from these people.

I honestly don't at this point as I think most people are incompetent. I can't even get my Wendy's order right, let alone expect some bleached bimbo to not use a low reaching example for wiretapping/surveillance/government interference/however you want to slice it. As I said, instead of focusing on the words focus on the point. Snowden should have wised people up by now anyway.

I get where you're coming from. I just think these people have to be more articulate and say the correct things. These are not the average person. I'm getting kinda annoyed with the constant "I didn't quite mean that" moments. Regardless of thoughts on the last administration overall....They were well articulated for the most part. You can point out flubs over the 8 years, but holy hell were not even a few months in yet here. Words have meaning.... Don't talk like the average Joe does.

I really really need to leave it here though. I don't want to go down the road on stepping on people's political beliefs. I'll just stand by Conway is a dummy haha.

You're welcome and I'm sure you'll enjoy this glimpse into the past. Bottom line, there is a lot of knowledge or technology that agencies are aware of and/or use that the public has no knowledge of.

Why do we pay $100+ for Dishnetwork when there's hardly anything good on. And if there is, there's a million commercials.

At least we finally randomly got The CW in HD. But my fave show on it Riverdale is on hiatus.

I actually ditched cable back in October or so. Don't even kinda sorta miss it. An antenna is perfectly fine...And free.

Is Passengers worth a rent? I like Pratt, but J-Law is a pretty bad actress. The VFX and audio should be good tho.

I don't know if it's worth a rent, but I'm buying it today. Pretty much for the audio and video. I like both actors too, so it seems a slam dunk for me.

I blind-bought it and enjoyed it. Definitely worth at least a rental.

I loved it on its merits as a sci-fi movie. Had no problems with the actors/performances either. Maybe not the most even movie in the world, but I believe it gets an incredibly bad wrap because of the moral dilemmas people dug up as criticism (which I don't even think have that much bearing given the context of the story and outcome), and because it's more romance and less of a thriller or action film.

Haven't viewed my copy yet, but the VFX were fantastic in the theater and should be replicated on disc perfectly.

Exactly. Critics have liked movie with far worse characters in them. They had a PC agenda on their minds.
