Back to the Future Trilogy 4K UHD (1985-1990)

Watched parts 1&2 last night and just finished part 3 this morning. I’m a satisfied customer.
I thought part 3 in particular looked very nice, you can really see an uptick in all the fine detail and textures. The Wild West clothing, the rocky landscapes, all the wood grain and brickwork on the buildings, the extra detailing/modifications on the DeLorean.

Watching the first film at the moment and falling in love with it all over again. To me, 4K is all about the subtleties such as lighting and textures and so far I’m really impressed with what I’m seeing.

But BTTF2 was one of the first films to feature extensive use of digital compositing, which (at that time) was low resolution. So all of the VFX footage is softer looking. And no, "4x sharper" is not "what I believe," because I work in film and I know better. Some shots are just softer. Some film stocks are just softer. The way some films are shot are not going to be "razor video game sharp" which is what you seem to incorrectly expect from every release regardless of production differences. That's what I mean by having correct knowledge before posting nonsense.

I'm still rocking my plasma, so I'm buying this as a future proofing measure and it's always nice when 4K catalog titles get remastered Blu-ray's as well.

Part 3 as always been the better looking one of all the 3 films. Even when i watched the old blu rays version im always amazed at how good it looks. Part 2 is the worst of the lot but it does have the most optical effects of the 3.
