Watched parts 1&2 last night and just finished part 3 this morning. I’m a satisfied customer.
I thought part 3 in particular looked very nice, you can really see an uptick in all the fine detail and textures. The Wild West clothing, the rocky landscapes, all the wood grain and brickwork on the buildings, the extra detailing/modifications on the DeLorean.
That first establishing shot of the 1885 Hill Valley

Watching the first film at the moment and falling in love with it all over again. To me, 4K is all about the subtleties such as lighting and textures and so far I’m really impressed with what I’m seeing.

That's what people are seeing. It's as good as it's going to look, yet you"think" it can look better because you apply a generalization to every release thinking they can all look the same.

Which is why my comment about you having zero clue about how films are shot stands. You're making assumptions you know nothing about, and you are 100% wrong. So it's probably best you don't keep posting about your faux crusade, because you really have no idea what you're even talking about.

And no, "4x sharper" is not "what I believe," because I work in film and I know better. Some shots are just softer. Some film stocks are just softer. The way some films are shot are not going to be "razor video game sharp" which is what you seem to incorrectly expect from every release regardless of production differences. That's what I mean by having correct knowledge before posting nonsense.
Thanks for telling me what I know and what I don't. Now that you are a telepathist, I don't have to tell you anything more, since you know it even before I start thinking about it. So the following is for others to understand our discussion rather than you: you might read my mind, but the sad part is that you did not understand my point.

Can we stop arguing and just enjoy the release? It’s Saturday morning, chill out.

Sweet! Thanks!

I'm still rocking my plasma, so I'm buying this as a future proofing measure and it's always nice when 4K catalog titles get remastered Blu-ray's as well.

Part 3 as always been the better looking one of all the 3 films. Even when i watched the old blu rays version im always amazed at how good it looks. Part 2 is the worst of the lot but it does have the most optical effects of the 3.

Guess he hasn't.
Should be expecting this on Thursday the 22nd of this month. Ordered through Amazon.com with quite a lot of Gift Card funding. Already made room on my shelf which is for 4K UHDs. Can't wait!

We reserve cultivated discussion for people who understand definite and indefinite articles.

Really looking forward to getting my set on Monday. I've not watched them in a while now, so it will be a good time to revisit and enjoy the improvements that 4k brings over the older masters.
