So, I watch 1 last night on my PS5 and it worked flawlessly. This got me researching the bluray drive for the Series X and I found out that the Firmware hasn't been updated in little over a year. Gonna test 2 and 3 tonight just in case.

I had issues with Series X and BTTF3. Wasn't able to replicate it, but it crapped out just as the final scene began.

I wrote about this in the XBOX forum - but I finally abandoned the idea that the Series X is a "good enough" 4K player. I love the system, have zero regrets (and am so grateful I was able to get one at launch, as so many still can't even get one pushing a year later), but it just is not a very good 4K player. It flat out wouldn't play some of the Game of Thrones 4K discs (the first one it doesn't even recognize - yet it plays just fine in other players).

As I am starting to invest in more 4K titles, I just bit the bullet and bought the basic 4K Sony player model at Target on sale, and I have not regretted the purchase. Especially since DV seems to be the way to go on most titles, and aside from the comparability issues, the Series X doesn't even offer it for disc-based media. The build quality of the low-end Sony one is cringey (the flap that opens up feels like it's going to snap off), but as far as a player, I have had zero complaints so far.

I have never been happy with the UHD playback of the Xbox One and now the Series X so bought a stand alone Panasonic player last year, wasn't super expensive but far better and never had any playback issues on any disc including BTTF Trilogy.

Same. Everything has played flawlessly for me. I'm also running on a "legacy" receiver that doesn't do UHD, so having the two HDMI outs has meant the audio is also absolutely perfectly sync'd, as well.

I was resisting buying a stand-alone, both because of the cost and having another device plugged in (my goal is less devices, not more LOL) but the benefits have very much outweighed that.

Sony has put a new firmware update for Sony, XBOX blu-ray players. The discs run fine now.

Good thing I put off watching my copies of BTTF II and III for so long, then. The first froze when Lorraine's mother asked Marty if he'd like to stay at their house, though when I later watched the scene out of context, it didn't freeze.

you can't turn the brightness up on you TV/ Projector or watch the matching Blu/s that come with the 4K disc?

In all seriousness, as much as I love this movie, the last 10 minutes or so don't make a whole lot of sense.

If you want to fix the dark issue, turn up your gamma in the HDR settings. Depending on blu-ray player and tv., its either the BT or S in gamma settings. Hope this helps you.
