Are you talking about a different scene? At the beginning of Part II Doc didn’t just go through hell sending Marty back to the future. That was thirty years ago.

It's not hard, it's super easy if you know what you're looking at. Your theory about it being a matter of color timing / grain / TV settings couldn't be further from the truth.

Also you're not suppose to see it on my photos, which I posted only to show examples of specific shots and times in the movie, athough that third shot looks pretty bad even on a photo of a TV.

Yeah, it's there alright and it's bothersome. It was discussed to hell and back when the set arrived. Some of us tried to contact Universal about that chroma glitch, but, of course, there was no reply. My only hope is that when they eventually re-release it (without the digital code ot whatever) they'll fix it silently.

Here are a couple direct screenshots to showcase the issue. This is the shot that really made me sit up and notice the problem. The streaking on his tie, most of all. And the soft look to the rest of the image. I think, like I assumed with BR, this is probably an instance of heavy handed chroma noise reduction. I think I actually have seen chroma streaks like this with chroma NR in Red Giant Denoiser, so that might very well explain it. I doubt they're using such a pedestrian plugin, but it is proof (assuming my memory is correct) that DNR can cause this kind of streaking.

Futurepedia proposes a backstory for Joey, which mirrors Marty Jr. in the unaltered 2015: Initiation into the Tannen gang goes wrong and ends up arrested, but apparently Joey doesn't even mention the gang's involvement during questioning or the trial, so he gets put away as sole perpetrator.

No idea what they're citing.

Is anyone else still having trouble with this set freezing up? I've tried cleaning the disc and contacted Universal weeks ago but no reply. Sorry if this has been asked to death.

if you paid by card or paypal rase a dispute with them, they are jointly responcible with the seller. In uk it is called section 75

I remember having an issue with BTTF1 freezing up near the end at the clock tower. I think I just cleaned the disc and it played fine afterward.

I have no idea if it is recommended or not, but I use Novus Plastic Clean and Shine. I have it around for other things, and it seems to do the job. Of course, I only use new/clean microfiber to wipe after.

The disc looked flawless when i first put it in, i then tried to clean it with a soft cloth but it still happens on the same part (when marty meets 1955 Doc). I'm playing it on a Xbox Series X (could be the prob) but I have loke 30 4K movies and none of them had issues. I'll probably try playing it on my PS5 and see what happens.
