Will get this eventually but just watched it with my family a few months ago, so will wait until I want to watch it again before I quadruple dip. I like the movies 1,3,2 in that order.

Might sell off the BD Digi Book and Animated series DVDs, and just keep the flux Capacitor case, book, and stick the 4K set inside if it fits.

If only that was the case Jezza, JP looks bang ordinary while Lost World looks delicious! And now I see from later in the thread that HH already said this.

But yeah, if they had to get ONE film out of the three BTTFs 'right' then it has to be the first film, it just has to be. I am however as confident as I've ever been that Uni are going to knock these out of the park.

Given how big these movies are for Uni then there's a decent chance there'll be remastered BDs too, whether they're worth a damn only time will tell.

Confidence about an upcoming Universal catalogue release ... what a world to live in.

They've done some really beauties on UHD. Fingers crossed these are another slam-dunk.

Can’t tell if your being sarcastic, although I hope not. I find it strange that Spielberg didn’t supervise the blu and 4k for Jurassic. Didn’t he for Jaws blu and ET blu and 4k? They look fantastic. Hell I think he even supervised the new Hook transfer from Sony. I wish he supervise this even though he only produced it.

Just because a director “approves” something doesn’t mean its automatically good.

There is, but only very short clips with no audio. I seem to remember getting very excited that we were finally going to see this stuff but it was a major disappointment. Not bothered about seeing it any more though, I just want them to get the goddamn transfers correct for the movies that were made, not the one that wasn't.

Don't personally need any more extras in general, at one point in the new features for the 30th anniversary set MJF literally repeats an anecdote word for word that he'd already recounted in the 25th anniversary extras, I think that well is tapped out.
