That's why I have no respect for the Oscars. It's great in theory but often ignores some of the most deserving films in each category. This easily should have earned a nomination. Regardless of its reception or people's opinions on the script, actors, etc., the visual effects were stunning. Of course, it was not a conventional Hollywood studio creation, so I'm not surprised it was snubbed.

I watched this again the other night. It's grown on me immensely and I still think it looks amazing on my end. It's one of the most visually cohesive blends of sets, costumes and CG out there imo. Wish I had a 4K HDR camera to capture it.

However, I'm still curious about that German UHD that one poster ITT mentioned was mastered at higher nits, supposedly.

Great visuals but I wish the story was more compelling and it's absolutely mystifying why they let the audience know who the villain is pretty much from the off but we have to wait almost the whole movie for the main characters to work it out.

So, I bought this set on amazon.fr a couple of weeks ago when it was on sale for only 15€, it said ships in 1 to 3 months, I wouldn't mind waiting 3 months but there is a good chance this is OOP and will never get restocked, right? I'd just wait and see but It's holding up the rest of my order.
