I'm not one for special features on newer movies but the stuff Scream puts together for old movies is pretty good. The exclusive features in the Halloween box set are great and I'll be keeping it for those alone. Plus I enjoy every Halloween movie other than Resurrection on some level. I'm not even a big horror guy at all but Halloween is a special series IMO.

Sure, it is still missing 3 films but we got something and I can't imagine any scenario where they don't reissue the other Halloween films and if they aren't boxed together, so be it. In terms of UHD, yeah that's a pretty tall order for all of them in UHD but you never can say never.

The most important film (in my opinion) is getting released in UHD and that makes it all worth it in the end

To tell ya the truth, fellas, I don't like any of the Halloweens past Return of Michael Myers (and can't tolerate the Zombie remake and sequel) and that was a big reason I didn't buy the big set. But with the first film in 4K and now the two best sequels out with 4K transfers (albeit in Blu-ray format), chances seem good that two and three should get genuine UHD releases at some point. If that happens, I'm in and will pick all three up in UHD...

I love them all, it’s not Halloween season until I pull out my set. I try and hold out till the first weekend of October but with this coming out on the 25th I’m starting early. I’ll watch the entire collection Thanksgiving long weekend.

I can’t wait for this release. Halloween was my first horror movie at the theatres, I was six at the time in 78 when my mother took me and I’ve had a soft spot for the series ever since.

I'll do ya one better...

I don't watch the first classic masterpiece UNTIL the evening of the 31st and all our trick or treaters have gone away -- never on any other night. Then, I usually watch two and four back to back, as they continue the story...

We usually watch Season of the Witch sometime before the 31st while we carve our jack o lanterns.

As long as you’re with a parent for R. X was the only one they wouldn’t let you in. I remember a year later
My mom took me and my friends to see Dawn of The Dead.

Doubt they mess up the transfers. I’m only upgrading part 2 though, can’t wait to watch the UHD of the original and then the new SF disc of 2.

Same for me. Pre-ordered both! Just really hope they don't announce a 4K UHD of H2 anytime soon, because then I'd be really pissed.

You have to watch this on the 31st, as you can't watch The Crow on the 30th otherwise

I'd probably normally grab them both for the hell of it, but with SO MUCH coming out in October this year I think I'll probably pass and hope for UHDs from Universal (or Scream) at some point.

Yeah with the new movie coming out I wouldn’t be surprised to be buying a UHD of part II in the near future.

Speaking of what I need to pick up for this Halloween season...

Wanna get Ninja III: The Domination on Blu from Scream, as well as their release of Exorcist II (I know, I know...).

I was wondering if Universal did the 4K remaster of Halloween II and III and contracted with Shout Factory to release them on standard blu-ray for release this Fall, with Universal releasing them on 4K UHD when Halloween 2018 releases on the format?

If Halloween 2018 is a hit, I have to believe that will happen. Unless the reviews are phenomenal for the Scream releases, I will patiently wait.
