Something's going on. All of the main cast, Ben Affleck just recently, have Tweeted #releasethesnydercut.

It's either grade-A trolling, or an announcement is coming soon.

This is exciting! As a Snyder fan, and someone who thinks Man of Steel and Batman v Superman are both great, this would make me so happy. And no I don't care about your smug judgments about being a Snyder fan.

I can totally see them actually releasing this. Why the heck not? Their DC-U is nonexistent and at the very least, SOMEONE will pay for this new cut (myself included). Or they can keep recalculating the horrid returns from the theatrical version.

No trolling at all. Jason Mamoa had recently been on his instagram talking about it and slowly the cast has done so. Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck added to the mix today. The only cast member yet to show support that I know of is Henry Cavil. But if Warner allowed Richard Donner the opportunity to do his cut of Superman II then why not let Snyder get his 4 hr version out!

I'm sure Cavill is in full support of it, even if only to repair his Bizarro Superman mouth in the film.

I'm definitely interested in seeing this. I'm not the biggest fan of Snyder's DC films, but I'm also not a big detractor of them, either. I think both Man of Steel and Batman v Superman (the director's cut, at least) were flawed films but had enough good and interesting ideas to keep me rewatching them. And hell, I'm one of the few who even enjoyed Justice League as it was released-- again, not a great film, but it kind of felt like a fun episode of the Super Friends, weird Superman CGI face aside.

Hopefully this is legit, because I do think it would be cool to have a complete "Snyder Trilogy" of films with a proper end-cap that is more fitting with the tone he established in his first two films.
