The Indicator pretty much is an Arrow quality release. They use David Mackenzie most of the time and their booklet is stunning. I'd only get it again for UHD, and even then I'd try hard not to (but then would).

Watched this tonight, lovely looking UHD Dolby Vision presentation.. Thought it was a great improvement over the previous releases on Blu-Ray.

I finally got my steelbook today and it's also defective. Should I be worried that the steelbook is no longer avaliable on Zavvi's website?

I've written to thier customer service and hope they are not all out so they can send me a new one.

What is the known defect? I have the released and didn't notice anything standout.

The video dosn't work, I just get a bunch of lines across the screen.

Zavvi just got back to me and they are sending me a replacement

A dated master though so it has room for improvement despite the David M compression which I have no doubt is 10/10.

No it's not, it's a Sony remaster. It looks wonderful.

I read the master was likely the one left over from the DVD release?!

The Indicator is not on caps-a-holic but the Twilight Time is, which is the same master just more poorly encoded. Here it is compared to the DVD.

I don't know what else to say other than "it looks awesome." So does their Christine release, UHD coming later or not. Ghost of Mars doesn't look as nice though, maybe that one had a DI so will never be remastered? Not sure, but that one looks old.

Thanks! I may pull the trigger on Vampires then as it's in the sale today. Need to pick up NOTD and the Dennis Hopper flick too

Shame about GoM. It's a naff flick but it's still Carpenter. I have the Christine release and yes, it's a beauty. Will still be picking up the UHD at some point though.

I'm having the same issue as the previous poster, first steelbook copy wouldn't display any picture, sent it back for a replacement and now the new copy is doing the same thing.

Had a very similar problem with the recent Studio Canal 4k release of Evil Dead II also, but no problems with the They Live % The Fog 4k releases

I do have a Samsung 4k player, is that the issue?

Samsung seems to be the common factor with these two SC releases judging by posts i've seen on Twitter etc.

See the above thread, seems to be some issues with Samsung players reading some of the SC 4K discs properly.

Edit: Okay, so i've found a work around. Once the white line on the static start screen appears press OK on your remote. The player should then play the disc. Apparently this works for all other problem SC 4K discs.

Same. The workaround I managed to use was picking French at the language selection screen, then on the next screen, going to the settings, changing the language to English and then playing it from that menu.

Bit long winded and a pain, but it plays in English with no problems after that.

So it looks like this is sold out on zaavi, is this still the only 4k option? or is it being released in other territories?

edit: nevermind I see it was released in Germany as well. So I guess if zaavi really is sold out then the German release is an option....I'm assuming since both are studiocanal both release are identical outside of the fact that the German release has German writing on the cover instead of English

edit2: just in case anyone is curious, I found this unboxing video of the german release which shows everything is in English (even the menus), except for the disc art

The writing on the spine is in English in every edition; same goes for the front of the steelbook (there's nothing written on the back). So the only issue would be with the slip cover.
