The more I think about it the more that sums it up for me, the first movie still just edges out the other two but I enjoyed MI3 so much on that recent UHD rewatch that it might as well have been at the top of the list. And then I rewatched Rogue Nation and that went to the top as well

Movie opinions are always interesting. I enjoy all of them, but here's how I rank them...

1. Rogue Nation
2. Fallout
3. Ghost Protocol
4. MI2
5. MI3
6. MI

1. Fallout
2. Rogue Nation
3. Ghost Protocol
4. MI3
5. MI1
6. MI2

So nearly a perfect backwards order which really makes a change compared to some other franchises!

It's always ended up pretty low in the rankings for most folks. Legit cannot understand why.

I'd have to think really hard in order to rank them - and it would end up being rather arbitrary. I just enjoy them all so much, I'd happily spin any up for a good watch. It really is the most consistent franchise to me - I like them all for various reasons, and have never been disappointed.

You know what would be weird? If a bunch of people gave their ratings and they were all the same. But they don't and never will.

That's why I don't bother rating them. It is kind of arbitrary, but mostly, it seems pointless to me.

It's a fantastic movie. The others are just more so IMO.

Nothing will top De Palma's gloriously twisty-turny original! Apart from when I watch MI3 again. And Rogue Nation.

(yes it's on sale, but) the price is huge and the other set (that includes fallout) is way cheaper!

Not from me! Maybe it's a bit due to nostalgia (I would've been 14 when it came out back in '96) but it's still among my favorites of the films. Although I had to see it a couple of times in the theaters before I fully understood the plot.

About a year later I took a 2-day train trip, and there was a specific booth on the train where they showed movies, and M:I was one of them. Was a trip watching the train climax on a speeding train!

Why does the misspelling for Rogue (to Rouge) always give me the giggles?

Both for M:I Rogue Nation and for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. It gets me every time!
