I think that actually helped Suicide Squad, the "unknown" thing I mean.

If WB include the version of the film with Cavill's mustache intact, then I will absolutely buy it. The movie would be so worth watching again to see Superman and Continental Superman together in the same film.

That's exactly the reason why I think CGI in Life of Pi is garbage, because I can tell the difference between real animal and awfuly fake animation.
Because you’re looking for it. And you’re showing a cam quality picture to judge an image, not exactly the best example.

I've seen it on big screen. It looked much worse.

I don't have to look for anything when half of the actor's face looks like animation straight from Final Fantasy (2001).

Then why is it only an issue with those who are actively looking for it? You’re choosing the few shots where it’s uncanny valley material and ignoring that for most of his screen time it’s either not there (not a reshoot) or the shot lasts for no more than a few seconds. There’s plenty of people who have seen the movie and either said they didn’t notice or it wasn’t an issue they were aware of.

So what? It's like saying "Why only you and few other people think this movie is bad when to most it's great and very entertaining?" Am I not allowed to have an opinion?

For most of his screen time Henry's face was half CGI, so you're completely wrong about the proportions.

Elfman’s score for Justice League isn’t great, but is understandable considering the time he had to do it and the issues the movie kept running into. People criticise Elfman for using his Batman theme and John William’s Superman theme over Zimmer’s but this was actually Whedon’s request. Elfman is still an excellent composer. His scores for Alice In Wonderland, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dark Shadows, Goosebumps, Men in Black 3 and Oz The Great and Powerful all prove his heyday aren’t behind him.

I thought Zimmer said Junkie helped when it came to the percussion instruments on MoS

I went into this movie with extremely low expectations, based on reviews, but I was extremely pleasantly surprised. I mean, it wasn't incredible or anything, but it was easily the best DCEU movie yet, imo.

Excited for the UHD. Hopefully it isn't mastered to 4000 knits.

Saw the film yesterday. As much as I tried to, I just couldn’t enjoy it. What a Frankenstein of a film. If they wanted a Joss Whedon film, WB should have fired Snyder and hired Whedon from the start so the film could have been properly retooled instead of making this... mess that’s a hodge podge of the two director’s clashing styles. You don’t start out with one director then suddenly change course six months before release. Yes, it was Snyder’s choice to leave but it was WB’s choice to completely change the tone and style of the film. There was very little I enjoyed. The rumours suggesting WB is going to blame the whole thing on Whedon disgust me. There’s plenty of blame to go around and quite a lot of it falls at the feet of Snyder and WB.

Can’t help but wonder what the UHD will look like since I found the film to be very visually unimpressive (with some scenes I found to look pretty ugly).

Zack Snyder's director's cut might very well happen, several people on Twitter (who might be in contact with Zack via Vero) are saying they know for a fact that it is real. I'm guessing there'd be some incomplete VFX (but the VFX artist on reddit who unveiled a lot of information says they're still working on deleted scenes such as Barry saving Iris) and maybe Junkie XL's score might be incomplete, but although it seems impossible, it very well might happen.

The petition for WB to release that cut has now reached 100 K signatures, we also have Fabian Wagner, the cinematographer (didn't do the reshoots) asking for it, one of Zack's sons liking a Vero post about the petition, Zack himself liking a similar post. It's nuts that production members are asking for it.

About the CG lip, the VFX reddit fellow said 4 companies worked on it overtime, and were pissed they had to (it's been said earlier in this thread I believe), ultimately, not enough time. Cavill said they couldn't have a fake stache on because of the nature of what he does in MI6, and I guess Paramount didn't want a CG stache, so there you go. It's not as bad as some people are making it out to be, I thought it looked adorable it is bad but yeah, at least, that shows you what is a reshoot and what is not (ie all the good Zack material).

It's been reported that 95 % of his scenes were reshot (and apparently end up being very similar to the original material, just with lines added (Whedon's MAGIC QUIPS !) ).

Will the director of photography, Damien Wagner, oversee the cinematography of the home-video release? I ask because he wasn't available for the reshoots, which required the second-unit director of photography to step in.

One would hope so, but the timing & trim passes for the home versions of new releases are usually completed during the post-production of the actual movie itself - so if Wagner wasn't around to complete the film then I highly doubt he oversaw the HDR pass.

I don't think Zack's original cut is ever going to happen. Too much VFX work and with the film being a financial disappointment, why would WB keep pouring money into it? It's not as if releasing Zack's original cut on the Blu-Ray is going to convince the GA who are less than enthused with Snyder's DCEU films to check it out. We only got the Ultimate Edition of Batman v Superman because it was already finished.

It's exactly like Suicide Squad. People claimed Ayer's original cut was going to be on the Blu-Ray, they claimed VFX work was still being done etc etc. but in the end all we got was a slightly longer version of the theatrical cut.

WB are going to want to put as much distance between them and Justice League as possible.

I find it very unlikely that WB will pour millions and millions to finish VFX for a new cut of a financial disappointment. The only way it will happen, IMO, is if Zack pays for it out of his own pocket and at this point I don't think he cares enough (due to personal issues) to do that.

Considering WB are using Dolby Vision on their UHDs now, then the HDR pass for home video is most likely already completed.
