Still, really want to hear his take on it. Loved his collaboration with Zimmer in BvS and Fury Road's soundtrack was amazing! Elfman's had his heyday, something his JL score is a testament to.

Contrarywise, Junke’s scores for Deadpool and The Dark Tower were generic, bland and boring. And I believe Zimmer has said Junkie’s only contribution to BVS was the Batman theme.

Elfman’s score for Justice League isn’t great, but is understandable considering the time he had to do it and the issues the movie kept running into. People criticise Elfman for using his Batman theme and John William’s Superman theme over Zimmer’s but this was actually Whedon’s request. Elfman is still an excellent composer. His scores for Alice In Wonderland, Alice Through The Looking Glass, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dark Shadows, Goosebumps, Men in Black 3 and Oz The Great and Powerful all prove his heyday aren’t behind him.

No 3D, No Purchase and No Pre-Order. And yes, I am well aware that this is the 4K forum but Kong: Skull Island had a 4K+3D+Blu-Ray release.

I can't say I found any of those scores too memorable. It's a long way off from his early work with Burton, that's for sure. And if that was Whedon's request, then Whedon should get even more blame. I'm disliking him more and more. I loved what he did with Buffy, Firefly and the first Avengers, but everything after that, both professional and personal, has been a bit of a trainwreck.

We’re coming up on a holiday weekend and it’s tracking at least 60 mil not counting weekdays so why would it be lucky to make 200 mil domestic if ya already coming close to it on week two?

That’s the exception, not the rule. I don’t know why you thought people on the 4K forum would care that you won’t preorder. Unless you believe the studios are watching these to see how many people say they’re not buying. Which I doubt.

I liked JL. However, I really hope there's a director's cut on 4k/bluray

Good God this film looked rough. I swear the reshot footage was sticking out like a sore thumb probably due to the DP not coming back. Really curious to see how it'll look on UHD in that regard.

Shame the film is mess too. I still like MoS and BvS but this wasn't a proper conclusion at all. Especially the more I think back on it. Still gonna get it just to complete the set but I think I'm done with the DCEU bar WW for now.

DC paid nearly 25 million just for the CGI removal of Cavills mustache on the reshoots. Supposedly it looked bad and will probably look even worse on the 4k Blu Ray. This movie seems like such a mess. From the plot to the capture.

It won't even be in the same league as the Avengers 1st movie.

Most of the reshot footage was shot digitally, so that adds to it, it wasn't shocking to me but you can tell when Whedon steps in, usually the 2nd unit DP is supposed to emulate what the main director & main DP are doing, but a 2nd unit DP being in charge of extensive reshoots, that's pretty rare.

The VFX artist on reddit who leaked some info said that there was basically not enough time which is why the 3rd act, mostly reshot, has that subpar CG, in addition to those unneeded greenscreened shots inserted in already existing scenes

VFX guys already commented on this: They tested adding Henry’s moustache to MI6 footage and it looked great, easy and realistic so WB offered to foot the bill for the moustache addition and Paramount basically said **** off and they were stuck with this.

And if you’re not looking for it, it’s not incredibly noticeable. Except for two shots that don’t last for very long.

Wouldn't that be a bit cruel on collectors?

It IS incredibly noticeable, at least to me, because I know how Henry's (or any human being for that matter) face suppose to look, how upper lip suppose to move etc.

I mean look at this atrocity, it's not even him:

That's exactly the reason why I think CGI in Life of Pi is garbage, because I can tell the difference between real animal and awfuly fake animation.

I'm sad that a unknown property like Suicide Squad did better than Justice League which is hard to believe in terms of box office but both had reshoots and re-edits by the studio I guess they will never learn and we will never get The Director's Cut of Suicide Squad and Justice League.
