Lawrence of Arabia was spread over 2 discs. This is 1. One. Singular.

Not available outside the UK. Meanwhile I can order the US without a problem. I don't understand amazon.uk's logic behind this at all atm. Really annoying.

The US's customs relationship with mainland Europe hasn't changed. But the UK's customs relationship with Europe and indeed the rest of the world has just changed (and not *just* because of brexit but because of the decision to make non-UK vendors charge sales VAT at point of sale, which the EU will apparently adopt in six months anyway) so we're gonna be encountering this silliness for a while yet.

Yeah I really hope amazon.uk will take care of this soon because it makes no sense to lock pre-orders but than to open up for orders as soon as we hit the release date.

We don't get digital codes either. Meh. I just want the UHD.

Maybe they've realized it's a waste of cardboard?

There’s been a few recent/upcoming releases that I’ve been happy to wait for price reductions or multi buy offers (the likes of District 9, 300, Elysium, Gattaca), but this certainly ain’t one of them. Should hopefully look terrific, and I do like to settle down and watch an old school epic.

I remember enjoying this film on tv when I was younger.
I loved soaking in a long epic on a random rainy Sunday.
That was many years ago.
I worry it will not hold up.
What say you?

My family watches it every Easter. It’s long, and some of the acting is a little cheesy/over the top (typical for movies from that era), but it holds up and is a true classic.

Agreed. I bought the BR not long after it came out, hadn't seen the movie since I was like 10, and thought it would be super corny. (LET. MY. PEOPLE. GO. So let it be written, so let it be done. Moses, MOSES! JOSH-U-A!!!!!)

I was blown away. It was awesome, even the scenes I thought would be corny. (well, save for Joshua's wife who's almost only lines are to hysterically yell out his name). Albeit llllllooonnnnngggg........
