Yeah it looks way better with Dolby vision turned off. I thought DV was better though. I guess not for this one.

Popped the old Lionsgate disc in last night to get some value out of it before the scream UHD releases.

Does the audio sync seem off to anyone? I tried both Mono and 7.1 mixes and the dialouge seemed to not match up well.

I thought it was my receiver but then I put in a couple other UHDs with no problem regarding audio sync issues.

It would be nice if a review of these new Shout Factory Halloween 4K discs would come out soon. I'd like to know how the color timing looks on Halloween and Halloween II and if they match.

It sure would be nice if SF would share a screenshot or two from this to show off the new OCN scan and color timing. They did so before the The Thing release; I don’t see why they can’t do it again here.

I agree a screen shot would be nice. I'm not too happy with the Lionsgate 4K transfer which is why I haven't pre-ordered these Shout Factory releases yet. I'd like to see at least some screen shots before pre-ordering.

Nobody says "was the boogeyman" and if they did the "w" in "was" wouldn't begin with audible stop at the back of the throat.

I know. I think everybody on this board now knows what was actually said. And if they didn't somebody even posted a page out of the script to prove it. The discussion was about how and why we misheard it when we were kids. And when I was a kid I misheard it as her asking a question. I admitted to mishearing it and apologized for it last week. Can we please just move on? This cancel culture has gotten way out of control.

No I am disagreeing with you that it sounds like what Loomis says is the answer to a question. It does not sound like that unless it's in the context of a question being asked. And since no question is being asked it does not sound like an answer to a question. The only problem that people are having is the absence of a clearly define syllable before Laurie says "was.." but it's clear that she's not starting a sentence with "Was..". It's people with too much time on their hands who have turned this into a debate.


People talking about "cancel culture" because they are frustrated every time a conversation is not going all their way is getting out of control. It's "cancel culture" culture gone mad.
