I am curious does anyone know when the rest of the season get a 4K transfer after the final season or when they give a premiere date for the GOT prequel.

When they release a complete 4K boxset. It looks like they won’t be releasing anymore season on 4K separate. They did the same thing with The Sopranos on Bluray. Besides if they was going to all the other season would be out by no way on 4K.

Bran was controlling Hodor not actually being him. And I doubt he can control the Night King if so the original Three Eyed Raven would have done that.

A warg probably can only control living people and animals, which is the easiest explanation as to why they couldn't control the Night King.

You can't compare this to The Sopranos.

The release schedule on that was thrown off by the death of HD DVD and HBO not having a strategy when it came to releasing content on Blu-ray.

Sopranos didn't require HDR grading. They could take the existing HD masters and encode it for BD spec.

Physical media was also not on the decline and there was no threat from streaming.

Silicon Valley just went DVD only. You want HD for season 5? You have to stream it.

I keep telling you guys, if not enough sales on the first season there may never be additional seasons on UHD disc, with maybe the 8th season being the exception only because it's day & date with the Blu-rays.

Which kind of creates a vicious cycle as no one wants to buy season 1 and 8 not knowing whether or not they're getting the full show which probably hurts sales.

I know it is holding me back from buying season eight on 4K. And no way am I buying a box set if I already own season one in 4K.

Sell the copy of season 1 on eBay and put that money toward the box.

I recall similar quotes from this character -

Yes you can compare the 2. Like everyone said when season 1 came out of The Sopranos if there’s not enough sales then the rest won’t be released. And be hold the ended up releasing a complete box set. Anyone with a brain can’t expect people to buy a season of a show on a new format without there being a guarantee that the rest will follow. It’s the same with TV shows on Bluray can’t expect people to buy 1 season of the show specially when they release every other season on Bluray. This is classic bait and switch have fool people into buying season 1 & 8 on 4K then only release the rest in 4K in a complete boxset with no plans to ever release the rest of the seasons separately.

I've already purchased S1-6 at $30 or so each. Would suck to pick up S8 4K on release and S1 4K sometime before then only to learn later that S2-S7 4K never happen or else only in a series set.

i suspect 1-8 4k set will be around £400 at launch so I will deffo need to wait for price drop! I think £30 a season would be ok.
