I'm not in a hurry to get this knowing the UK box set will be reduced in sale price later in the year - I got the UK Transformers box set for £45.24 (sale price with postage) ($59.98)

Hopefully that’s a mistake. They were already released over here with the blurays. I’ve got them so I’m good to go.

I believe the US versions, especially the first and third will have burnt in subtitles for the Russian and Italian spoken languages whereas the European versions will have player generated subtitles. I know because I have the Scandinavian releases on blu ray compared to my US HD DVD release.

Hans Zimmer and the "Chimera" plot with the guy from all them other movies in the 90's... saved and (I certainly argue) elevated this movie to pretty decent status. Maybe it's because I think Face/Off is a stellar action movie, that I don't agree with people who clearly found this to be "A Woo Too Far", finding themselves suffering from 'woo fatigue syndrome', being subjected to his signature.

Except the US UHDs have a load of foreign languages also, so we'll see.

Have the DI for the first three movies been verified as 2K or 4K?

If these are 2K DI being used, my concern is how old they are...

If they are new DI, it seems odd that Paramount would go with 2K now.

First two don't have a DI. 3 was 2K, 4 was 4K, 5 was back to 2K.

Why are people referring to scans/remasters of older catalog titles originated on film as "DIs" now?

Eh, it's like so many terms related to these mastering processes, they all get conflated with each other.

Hearing all these people with the fixation on the DI's makes me think of Nedry's scene:

DI's! DI's! We've got DI's Here!!

Trouble is, people really do care...

Same reason they refer to a relatively simple 4K transfer as a "restoration".
Just tossing around terms they have no clue about.

For people upset about the ratio switch on 4, Chris McQuarrie wants it on the home release for Fallout.

Nice, but doesn't do much good for Ghost Protocol. Still a dumb wasted opportunity, since we can't ever go see it again in theaters.

All this time I've been thinking Fallout is the video game by Bethesda (great game, btw)... lol.
