Still don’t know why we have to wait for new release Tuesday for these when stores have already put out the new DVDs and Blu-rays and the 4ks are probably just sitting in the back..

I was hoping the UK boxset would have individual cases, like Transformers.

Does anyone know if that’s the case or not?

I was at the very least hoping all five would be individual with the same box art as the US for each...

I understand your point. My guess would be the studio views the new box design as just a replacement for the current design and therefore the "same" product. Vs the 4k being a "brand new" format release. Would love to pick these up today on 4k (and watch over the weekend).

I think it is a studio policy that the stores have to follow or else they can get in trouble. I know one time I found one of Sheryl Crow's cd available at Sam's Club 3 or 4 days before release date (when it was on a Tuesday, as it should be) but they wouldn't sell it to me. They said they aren't allowed to and can get in big trouble If they do. if they do sell early the studios may not let them sell any of their product anymore. I know another store that used to sell new release cd's as early as Fridays when they weren't supposed to be out until Tuesday. They obviously got in trouble, as they have quit doing it.

It's only $12 difference for the UK box set compared to individual US releases, so I'm just sticking with the US ones.

Yep, they get fined AND they lose the right to sell. I remember when Best Buy would let slip movies early more and now they’ve clamped down hard, even putting restrictions in their systems not to let products get sold before a date.

Brick and mortar stores are like that but BB still ships pre-orders out early, I usually get Steelbooks the Friday or Saturday before release. It's actually kinda weird when I get one on a (gasp) Tuesday lol

It’s not. 5 x $25 = $125= £95. The U.K. box set is £69.99, that’s £25 difference, just under $20.
