Just toss the slips. The art is HORRENDOUS and they all have the original poster art on the reverse.

I was only interested in the first three on 4K. I don't mind the art on H1 and H2 but the art on H3 is pretty sweet.

Better than Shout’s original slip for the 4K, that’s for sure… but good grief, I wish we could get a better encoded disc and the original artwork on the outer slip and no Yankee Candle Michael Myers cartoon on the disc face.

They should just stick with the original artwork, it’s so iconic. No reason at all to ever change it. Also, I may be wrong but the mask in the artwork looks like it’s from Halloween II instead of the original?

I actually might pick this up if it has a different image on the disc face. Perhaps of interest is the back cover which bears the Trancas International logo, which doesn’t appear on the first SF 4K release anywhere that I can find. It also has a different SF release number compared to their initial 4K, and is a 2-disc set rather than 3 (omitting the 2007 disc with the “original [Blu-ray] color timing”.

Shout licensed it from Trancss International. It's a copyright text string on the regular release iirc.

They release the same damn covers every year. All they do is cycle the colors from red to green to orange to red…etc. How are people still getting excited about these?

I was going to say the same. Walmart releases these glow in the dark orange and green slipcovers every year. Unless this is the first year they're doing one for the 4K?

This is certainly the first time Shout’s 4K has been released in an edition that doesn’t showcase their ridiculous commissioned art from 2021. If that ridiculous 2021 artwork is NOT on the disc face, I’ll buy this. I’m not excited about it, and I know Shout’s encode and filtered audio aren’t ideal, but I’m also getting tired of not owning this on 4K.

That part, yeah. They're doing one for the Vincent Price Collection too. I don't think SF titles have ever been included in these assortments.

Really not much reason to be excited about it, unless you just really didn't like the previous slip art. It is interesting that it's technically a new set though since it omits the third disc.
