Opips3 I can guess English isn't your first language, but you still come off very strongly opinionated, but not quite accurate most of the time.
I don't think the CGI in "It" is shitty. I think it fares a lot better than other modern films. Still, Dark Crystal was made in the 80's which they didn't really have CG, so the characters were all puppets. That's why you can't see CGI on it really. Also 4K DI can be sharper, but not always. There are too many additional contributing factors on why we are getting such varied content. Regarding resolution, there are movies with 4K DI on UHD that look marginally better than their BD counterparts. Then there are movies with 2K DI on UHD that it is almost a night and day difference versus their BD counterpart. Filming techniques, physical cameras used, post processing techniques, etc ALL play a role in the "Sharpness" of a movie. Theoretically, yes, if you were to compare a movie with a 4K DI to the same movie with a 2K DI, there would be a difference in quality; however as far as I know, no film has gone BOTH routes to give us a proper comparison (someone correct me if I am wrong). Is it worth spending the extra $10 for 4k?? I'd be willing to if there's a noticeable difference, but I've heard the standard blu ray looks good too.

So sell the Blu-Ray and Digital code and make some money back? The worth is always going to vary from person to person. Personally im waiting to see if an extended version gets released (unless this version drops significantly). I got the early release on ITunes and it will hold me over. |

Has this still not been fixed? Has anyone heard about this issue lately?
I know UV seems to by dying, but I'd still prefer to have this in UHD in my UV locker as well. |

I ended up getting the $10 Vudu UHD and I'm kind of glad I did. It looks amazing and I still can enjoy the Atmos track.
I have the same problem I had when I watched in the theaters. It just isn't scary and even worse, the kids don't seemed fazed by anything. I wish they went less with the 80s Stranger Things nostalgia and showed more Pennywise victims. They could have done 4 more "Georgie" type scenes. In the book, the characters are so scared it affects them the rest of their lives, their hair turns white, etc. |

Misremembering the book a bit there. Only the bully Henry Bowers has his hair turn white. As for the Losers Club, they all forget everything afterwards apart from Mike (who is the only one to stay in Derry). When Pennywise returns, he phones the others and only then do they remember but only vaguely. And the vague memories terrify them. The Losers lead relatively normal lives and find great success when they leave Derry, unaffected by their experiences until Mike phones them.

^ Indeed, in fact it is later speculated by the group that Derry itself (by way of Pennywise) keeps it's horrible secrets by causing people who leave the place to forget their awful experiences. What happens in Derry stays in Derry, in other words.

Indeed. I was really hoping the movie would have made Derry itself more central to the story, as I think it would have made a much more atmospheric and affecting film, and left Pennywise a bit more shrouded in mystery. Instead they did the opposite, which made for a more fun film on the first viewing but also a less interesting one.

The UHD is excellent. Ignore the review.
