It goes into remission and he realizes he's ruined himself and so many others and it was all for naught, and so has a nervous break down. Then it comes back and then he decides... oh well, what the hell. Power ain't so bad after all... "Remember My Name." In for an ounce, in for a pound... and his ruination is complete.

His actions are in keeping with the story, the characters in GOT were changed just because the writers... "forgot." Oops.

I am talking about episode to episode 180 degree swings.

I disagree completely with your characterization of GOT actions.

If season 8 sells well on UHD BD we may have a chance to get the rest of the seasons on UHD BD IMHO.

Were you paying attention in Season 8, especially? Most of the characters do 180's and even 360's, making head scratching decisions that didn't match their prior experiences or decisions.

Yes, and all of the character actions made sense to me for the characters.

Again, very, very good, but not as nerve-wracking as BREAKING BAD’s, or as philosophically rich as STAR TREK’s, or as innovative as TWIN PEAKS’s. I certainly don’t want to come off like I’m not enjoying the show, because I am, but at least near the finish line of the second season, I can definitely opine that it’s quite overrated. I hope to be proven wrong as I go, but even if so, it’s a slow dawning.

I'm struggling to imagine a person who thinks Breaking Bad is the best show ever made but has zero interest in even watching The Sopranos.

In the opinion of people who actually matter (the people who have seen all of these shows from start to finish) it's a no contest. The Wire and The Sopranos are clearly far superior shows.

Anyone who claims that Breaking Bad and GoT are better than The Wire or The Sopranos is someone who hasn't seen The Wire or The Sopranos.

I like both BB and GoT (seasons 1-5), but you can like them without needing to overrate them.

At the risk of belaboring my point, I enjoyed the first seasons of both BB and GoT astronomically more than the first season of THE SOPRANOS. I haven't yet had the chance to venture past GoT's first season but, furthermore, the second season of BB murdered THE SOPRANOS' second season, IMO. I have four more seasons of THE SOPRANOS ahead and I'm really hoping to have my lightbulb moment with it, but even if it ultimately launches to that Next Level for me, it'll have taken a much longer road to get there than BB or GoT did. Your theory is at least partially erroneous.

I watched Breaking Bad and it was good. Doubt I'd rewatch though. I started on the Sopranos but it never really grabbed me and I lost interest mid-way through season two. GoT, however, we have rewatched 8 times now (i.e. every year before new season started).

Haven't seen The Wire. I guess I'll it to the Watch List

I don't see myself ever wanting to rewatch Game of Thrones, but i have reread the books a few times. Maybe if those last two books ever come out, I might consider a rewatch.

Sopranos and The Wire i have watched numerous times all the way through. They hooked me immediately!

Took me a few seasons to really get into Breaking Bad, but I enjoyed it. Haven;'t rewatched it since. On the other hand, I loved Better Call Saul immediately!

Hey, I ain’t the guy who said, “Anyone who claims that Breaking Bad and GoT are better than The Wire or The Sopranos is someone who hasn't seen The Wire or The Sopranos.“

Name 1? While the seasons did pick up in speed from season 4/5, characters really didn't change that much. Maybe you weren't paying attention to them during the series?

Did you not pay attention to Jaime and Tyrion virgin shaming Brienne where they live in a society where it is expected of women to be maidens until they are wed?

Breaking Bad went from compelling drama to goofy action thriller with a badass lead when it got popular. It’s still a fine show, but it doesn’t compare at all to The Sopranos or The Wire, IMO.
