Heh I mean we dont really know. If the studio was forward looking enough that would have been the intelligent and cost effective thing to do if the end PQ results were as close as Hunt indicates.

I have the 15 disc set and I think I might stick with that for now. I mean, no upgrade with audio, extras and I very slight PQ upgrade isn't going to work. American Psycho appears to be an upgrade and so I will keep that order.

Yeah, they seem really similar. I remember Bates Motel managed to get him to correct the audio comments error on the first version of his review.

He does say "confirmed with Lionsgate", but yeah, they look similar going by the 2 reviews.

Maybe Bates can get in touch again.

Eh, when you've had a quality transfer from the camera original - and the 35th is quality - then there's not going to be a night and day difference from one to the next, 'specially if the movie is supposed to look dark and moody and HDR hasn't been madly pumped up (a la Sony's catalogue remasters).

I said the exact same thing about Evil Dead when some people were casually throwing it around that the UHD will be a significant improvement, them seemingly thinking that the Anchor Bay BD transfer was done on a turnip. It wasn't, it looks amazing, and given the resolving power of the source material I'm very sceptical about what the UHD can do aside from showering it with more grain and some decent HDR. I'm still buying it though so's I can make some informed comments, just like with Halloween, American Psycho and so on. With the greatest respect to those peeps whose opinions I value - and the greatest disrespect to the copious amount of ****tards out there - I still only trust my own eyes at the end of the day.

Understood. I'd like it if Bates could double check with Bill Hunt though. The guy makes so many errors...

And yeah. I definitely trust what you tell us, Monsieur.

Edit: I wish that you could be a reviewer for this site (even though you see stuff that not all of us can see, myself included).

And if, on the flipside, I'm proved to be completely wrong and I reckon that Halloween (and Evil Dead) smash the BDs into the middle of next month then I won't be shy in stating so.

I'm in Fresno, as well.

Could you tell me which one you went to?

Thanks!

The irony is that that's the one included with the UHD.

LIONSGATE does love a good joke and this is the best ever: a joke on the customers.

I just picked up my 4k copy, today, from Target! Thank you to whomever posted the link on here. I am not sure why they sold them a tad early, but I got it before Amazon delivered it.

Finally scored and got two Halloween 4k at my local Target! Asked the girl in Electronics and she was kind enough to go in the back and give me a copy for me and my buddy! Throwing it on when I get home!

The Haddonfield PD must have the slowest response times ever. The Shape is seen watching Laurie in the middle of the school day, then stalking the girls after school. All while wearing his mask. Then a few more hours later, around supper time, the girls run into the sheriff dealing with a hardware store break in, with alarm blaring. Michael stole his mask, rope and knife from the store. It really took the police hours to respond to the break in?! And why was the hardware store closed? Was the owner an alcoholic, who opens his store whenever he likes?

Horror (especially slashers) tend to not have the best scripts.
