Yeah it was always gonna be a hard sell, but what surprised me most was that the reviews were stellar and no one cared. Bittersweet, really. I'm glad that people didn't follow what Rotten Tomatoes told them like a flock of aimless sheep, I just wish they'd chosen a different movie.

Did I hear some complain about the bad CG during the battle scenes?

Btw having Justice League Rocked at the end of every comment is incredibly cringey IMO
Just when Czar stopped putting Got Em!! at the end of every single post, we now have a new contender

Yeah I love all those. King Arthur was my favourite movie of 2017. I've always had a soft spot for bombs/ flops.

No, no, no, no. no. You're wrong! The Snyder Cut is coming out any day now. It's just so obvious. Anyone who doesn't realize this is an idiot!

I'm not sure what a Snyder cut can add to an already superb DC movie

For starters it can add a more appealing colour scheme in the finale.

Do we know how much it cost to finish the Ultimate Cut of BvS?

Still crazy to me that JL cost the same amount but is so much shorter. Damn mustache budget.

Looks like the Snyder cut petition has a ton signatures. Fingers crossed that shows WB that their is interest in the director's cut of JL.

BvS didn't need to be finished after the fact, it was completed and then cut down for the theatrical cut.

I guess you're right but a good chunk of that $300 million budget must have gone towards those 30 mins not shown in theaters.

Holy crap man... It's finally time to put Rocky on the ignore list. Rocky you're just ridiculously stubborn in your posts. It's great that you have your strong opinion on things, but try present them in a fashion that isn't so cringe-worthy and easy to hate. Maybe plan out your responses a bit better before posting? Maybe if someone gets irritated by your posts, something in your post, or something you continue to post about, try stopping?

These suggestions are probably a moot point since you won't take any of these things into consideration.

I personally think a theoretical Snyder Cut could add some interesting stuff for sure, but it would take away a big part of what made the movie good to me, and that's the humor and team dynamic. Yes, Whedon does overdo it in a few spots, but for the most part his additions improve the movie imo.

I do love the more Snyder-esque sequences like the mourning of Superman sequence, and the history lesson. I think BvS is near perfection, but for a team up you really need a better team dynamic than Snyder has shown he can deliver, and I think that's why Whedon was there. Whedon was already on the project before Snyder left, and initially Snyder seemed to show his support for Whedon's vision. Most likely the biggest issues are more related to studio interference than Whedon's initial vision for the reshoots.

Snyder left JL in early 2017. Many of his deleted scenes will have no CGI done at all, so it will probably cost millions of dollars to create the CGI for a new cut. Aside from Peter Jackson's movies, I don't know any movie that was allowed the budget to complete visual effects that weren't done at the time of theatrical release.

What I think would be a more realistic goal is an extended post-snyder cut. When Whedon was working on the movie, we know there was a cut that was at least 20 minutes longer than the final cut we got. Most of that will have completed or mostly completed CGI, and most of what was cut will likely be Snyder footage, although we know some Whedon stuff was cut too.

I believe this was the case for James Cameron's Avatar as well, which received an extended cut for a second theatrical release, and then another for a new home video release. Such cases are exceptional though, and I doubt WB wants to touch JL again for the time being.

The first extended cut only added a few minutes of CGI, which I'm guessing was most likely done or partially finished when the movie originally came out. The longer extended cut mostly adds live action footage.

Also, Avatar made a ton of money lol

If Snyder remains on good terms with the studio, maybe even has his own turnaround in cinematic fortune in years to come, then it's got as good a chance as any.

I'm not convinced that it'll be turned into a "masterpiece" either as the intent was always to deliver something a bit lighter than MoS and BvS, the three movies representing birth, death and rebirth, but it's the proper linking of this final movie in the 'trilogy' to the other two which I would dearly love to see. Get rid of Elfman's awful music - the only times it remotely caught my attention were the reprises of Hans Zimmer's Wonder Woman and Superman themes - and give us a bit more meat on the bones of Aquaman and Cyborg while either restoring Cavill's original scenes OR redoing that atrocious CG lip and I'd lap that shit up like buttermilk.
Jeff I don’t know how you feel about fan cuts but give this one a go. The fan replaced Elfmans music with Zimmers and reinserted the two deleted Superman scenes from the Blu-ray and straight away it a much better film. He also tightened it up here and there by deleting the stupid humour namely the women on tv yelling about how her husband had something stuck up his you know what and the bit where Batman is on the ground moaning about his body after he’s chucked by Superman at the memorial amongst other things.
