(Fingers crossed I'll have a 4K player by then, I've sold my Panny and I'm waiting for the OPPO, but it's got the restored version on a regular BD too so I'm not gonna miss out on seeing it.) |

I'll get this if the theatrical cut is improved over the Anchor Bay release.

I'd say 100% yes, Italiano only.
[edit] The Fallen Deity's post asking about the booklet's language to which I replied has disappeared, so I'm not talking to myself. Well, I am now, but...you get the idea. Last edited by Geoff D; 10-04-2016 at 08:36 PM. |

Exactly, I'd be very interested to see more of the frame on this. Only because it's a film I've seen SO many times, of course. If this was just some random movie I've only seen once or twice, I wouldn't bother, but with a movie I've seen probably 20 times, it becomes something I'd actually watch out of interest. It's kind of a cool bonus feature.

I'm actually intrigued by the full frame version, as it not only shows more on the top and bottom, but also a good chunk of the left. Don't get me wrong, as a purist, the theatrical/DP framing is a priority... but it's always interesting to catch things that weren't meant to be in frame.
Hell, you could make a 2.0:1 widescreen version using the full frame scan ![]() |
