I suspect you're right. I don't have a huge number of Second Sight titles, but I believe that once their limited editions sell through they offer a standard edition of many titles. I could be wrong, but I think that will be the case here as well.

To answer your second question, for the time being none of the Amazons are shipping internationally. Only existing preorders. Who knows if that will keep, as world events are forcing changes by the hour.

Rubenstein made an UK exclusive deal with Second Sight. So probably not any time soon.

The Second Sight release sounds about as definitive as any DOTD release can be (especially if you have a keen interest in the three[!] soundtrack CDs and included book, as I do). So long as you're region-free, I'd say go for it.

i;m region free, and i was considering getting it - but the price at diabolik was a bit higher than i was expecting, and i could honestly do without the CDs and stuff. i'll wait for a standard release (which hopefully would include the argento cut)

Amazon UK and Amazon USA are back taking new pre orders for international delivery past month
Some releases still have restrictions but some releases you can now pre order

This changes daily/weekely the amount of items where they remove the restrictions
Shipping option at checkout will be priority global shipping only but you can change this to standard global after you complete an order

Amazon UK will eventually allow pre order for USA delivery for Second Sight Dawn of the Dead release

Yeah, nothing else. I'm guessing Second Sight will have a about a 1 exclusive on whatever scan. I'm also thinking that Second Sight isn't paying for all this work on the 4K scan themselves.

Not all items are available to pre order
Amazon UK and Amazon USA are removing restrictions daily and weekly basis for International orders

I can pre order some items from USA but not all it's the same for USA customers wanting to order from Amazon UK

Amazon UK only started to allow new pre orders for USA customers a few weeks ago and only a small amount of releases at the moment this is changing each week

Same with Amazon USA only some releases you can do new pre order for shipping outside USA

As more shipping options return for Amazon more items will have restrictions removed

You could sell the CDs and probably halve the overall cost, if not more (people have been desiring the complete collection of library cues for decades).
