Someone could literally go on youtube, type in Dawn of the Dead, and start watching the movie in seconds. If that's not easy accessibility, I don't know what is. Yeah, it sucks that you can't obtain a US release BD or UHD, or be able to rent it on iTunes or whatever, but if someone wanted a BD or UHD release, they wouldn't have to break the bank, or find a needle in a haystack to get a copy either.

I'm actually kind of amazed that Rubinstein hasn't tried to get Youtube to take down the various copies that are on there.

Your claims are becoming ludicrous by the very second. You can buy most boutique label titles from Target.com, BestBuy.com, and yes the mighty Wal-Mart.com. Hell, I’ve bought Arrow, Kino, and Criterion from all of them.
I didn't say you couldn't buy boutique discs online. I said that they're unavailable in-store at Wal-Mart and Best Buy to physically purchase. You know exactly what I wrote, do better.

It’s a shame that the film is inaccessible as there are a ton of potential viewers who aren’t seeing the film, due to how difficult it is to access the film. I’m proud of your commitment, but the simple fact remains. You’re wrong. At every level.
Here's the 4k in my Amazon cart for roughly $50 shipped, available to US buyers who wish to, deem it worthwhile, and have the means to purchase. It should be a similar total across the lower 48 states.
I can't believe I'm actually making this up! I'm so kooky!

Exactly - priorities. I'm sure there are quite a few movie lovers who wish their income was higher, and they didn't have to spend a lot on prescriptions each month.

You can have 50 in your cart if you’d like. Still doesn’t change the fact that it requires a region free player making it inaccessible to most, and once again making you wrong. 50 might also be a bit pricey to someone will also have to buy a machine to play it.

I’m glad reflection is something that resonates with you. I would use this as a chance to do that. Reflect on why you are here debating something that shouldn’t matter, as it’s become abundantly clear that this release and film are not accessible to many. Read the testimonials instead of being so stubborn.

Either way, when all is said and done, you’re still wrong. Do better my internet buddy.

Then they shouldn't be buying any movies, or going out to eat, or doing anything fun, PERIOD, if money is so tight they can't afford $40 on entertainment. If it was $20, then what? They'd still have these "prescriptions." But if they can afford $20, the they can save for 2 months so they have $40.

Like I said, priorities. If complaining about $40 is a financial issue, then Dawn of the Dead is the least of someone's worries.

I finally picked up the standard edition on BD from RareWaves for $37.50 total ($10 shipping for 4 titles). It was literally a few clicks away. Zero hassles.

The lack of agency you project and infantilization of other people over buying movies is incredibly inane
+1. Also, and I don’t mean to get political or anything, but I think they oughta pass a law that if you aren’t all-region-compatible by Jan. 1, 2022, you face hefty fines or even imprisonment . I’m serious. And then if you get fined or sentenced to prison, the severity and duration of your punishment increases if you whine further online about what a hassle region-locking is. I really believe this!

I implore you to look at the image again. That's the 4k disc. They're region free. The fact that not everyone has a means to play the 4k disc or region B Blu-ray does not mean it's not readily available for purchase. In your words so eloquently stated, you are once again wrong.

The sad thing is, this isn't the nuttiest thing I've read today.

Having region-free players has been great, but imprisonment for those who don't? Seriously? Should we implement the death penalty for those of us who haven't upgraded to 4K equipment?

Unreal.

So you’re refusing to use this experience as learning opportunity? What a shame. Truly a shame as I was thinking of mentoring you with more life lessons, but you’re hopeless it seems. What a shame.

Either way, you’re still wrong internet buddy. As wrong as anyone can be. I’ll drink a shot to you tonight.

On the contrary I learned plenty today! There are indeed folks out there who believe 2+2=5 with such intensity they turn into a human projector.
It's one part amusing and another part terrifying.
