The scanner Seceond Site used to scan the elements was kinda crap. Don May/Synapse was going to to a brand new scan but Rubinstein had to Rubinstein.

I didn't say, or even imply, that that crusty DVD is better. Second Sight's UHD is clearly the best version currently available, but it can be improved upon. So it is hardly definitive.

Shout insulted Rubenstein years ago so he would never deal with those nitwits. If you want Dawn buy the SS release because it won’t be around much longer. Rube has it in his will to be buried with the negative of Dawn because he believes it has the power to resurrect him as a super zombie that will rule the world. Only bringing back Romero from the dead as a good zombie will save us.

I have the DVD ultimate edition I didn't know there was a similar set in UHD. It's Romero's best film imo.
