I second that inquiry. It's my favorite version of this classic. If it's a substantial improvement over the DVD, I'm in.

The Extended Cut is the same as the 2013 Japanese Happinet Blu-ray. Same thing for the Theatrical Cut. Same encode for both.

That makes it easy to wait for a release with better encoding of the Argento cut. Thanks

Would anyone be able to provide a BDinfo scan of the standard blu-ray theatrical cut?

The open matte version of the European Cut is SO AWESOME!!!

Every serious Dawn of the Dead fan should make sure to have this. It's quite one of a kind!

My 4K set has just shipped!

(I don't have another 4K player yet, but even so: for the rest of the discs, with any luck Dawn might arrive on Saturday)

Where exactly are these screen shots coming from? Is there an open matte version available now (perhaps on the Italian release)?

Interesting. I have been tempted by that release since I know any new US or UK releases aren't happening anytime soon.

That is disheartening, but I am looking forward to this just the same. Incidently, my copy just shipped. It usually takes a couple of weeks to receive packages from Amazon.it here in the States.

Cheers Danny, it's a fascinating look at just what IS captured when a movie's shot flat 1.85. The image circle of the wide-angle lenses doesn't cover the whole aperture, some others are hard-matted to Academy while others are truly fullap. No sprocket holes though? For shame.

So cool to see how it looks right off the film without any colour correction or re-framing. Thanks for sharing those!
