Any info on whether it will have both Italian and English dubs?

I have the two Moto sets that Fox released on DVD, and the first two Chan sets. I should probably snap up volumes 3-5 of Fox's Chan sets before they go the way of the dinosaurs.
I can definitely see them getting locked away.

I love the Charlie Chan films and did get the sets as they were released. Some years back, didn't TCM schedule them to be broadcast only to back off due to protests about stereotyping? A shame really since the films always allowed the Chan character to have a great deal of dignity and he was able to easily outthink the characters who looked down on him.

Don't know, but I got a shipping notice for my sale order yesterday, and should be getting it (according to USPS) tomorrow. Can't beat that with a stick.

While stereotyping was an issue, the real problem (as with the Moto series) was the casting of white actors to play the character. Especially given that all of Chan's children were played by Asian American actors.

Anyway, I didn't hear about TCM dropping plans to show the Chan series, but they (and/or WHV or WAC) dropped out sets of the Monogram entries on DVD, which I believe are still in print (and I need to pick those up as well).

I doubt that. TCM shows the Monogram Chan films from time to time. If they were pulled, it was probably Fox itself that did it. I don’t follow FXM as closely since the quality of the channel is poor and they repeat the same films over and over but I don’t recall ever seeing the Fox Chan films on their own channel.

Can you keep your nonsense posts limited to your own label's thread?

I checked a little further and it was the Fox Movie Channel back in 2003.

Default December 2018 Twilight Time Release Schedule

Here are the Twilight Time release announcements for December 2018, courtesy of the Home Theater Forum. As always, out of respect for HTF's exclusive announcement window, I will not be updating the first post of this thread until TT makes an official announcement later today.

X, Y AND ZEE (aka ZEE & CO, 1972) BLU-RAY - Dec 18th

SATAN NEVER SLEEPS (1962) BLU-RAY - Dec 18th

A MAN CALLED PETER (1955) BLU-RAY - Dec 18th

ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS (1969) BLU-RAY - Dec 18th

Some deep gems here and a few I have been wanting for years to hit Blu-ray. This month brings William Holden, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Michael Caine, Genevieve Bujold, Susannah York, Jean Peters, and directors Leo McCrary (his final film), Charles Jarrott, Brian G. Hutton, and Henry Koster.

Hold on a minute, isn't Anne of the Thousand Days a Universal title?

I've had my eye on the Italian release of Anne of the Thousand Days for a very long time, hoping it would eventually come down in price. Very happy to see this on the list.
