MacKenna's Gold
The Chairman
Arabesque (if KL don't have it)
Mirage
The Man in the Grey Flannel Suit
Marooned
Shoot Out
Captain Newman M.D.
I Walk the Line
The Snows of Kilimanjaro
Behold a Pale Horse

Wild card:
Amazing Grace and Chuck

I believe TT finished its Universal deal with Melvin and Howard. Arabesque, Mirage, Shoot Out and Captain Newman M.D. are not likely. Twilight Time at one time had The Chairman, but have been waiting for a 4k remaster.

I'd welcome any film from Gregory Peck. I don't know if Twilight Time would have the rights to it, but I'd really like The Million Pound Note (1954) to make an appearance on blu-ray. I think it was called Man With A Million in the USA, and this was a rather nice comedy with many familiar British actors from the 50's.

Agreed. That appears to be with Shout Factory in the US, though that may only be streaming rights (it doesn't appear to have had a US DVD release).

If I recall correctly, it was released by Rank here in the UK so the Region 2 DVD is from ITV at present. I'm guessing if this was to be issued on blu-ray, then Network would probably be the most likely candidate. This film would be a nice addition as I've always enjoyed Peck's performances - in my opinion he doesn't put a foot wrong.

Finally got around to watching my copy of The Bounty last night and thought it was verrry good. I'm a sucker for maritime movies anyway but I particularly enjoyed the slow burn of this one combined with the Vangelis score (which completely took me by surprise ) which gave it a cool Hearts of Darkness vibe.

It's not perfect so you could nit pick the hell out of it if you wanted to - e.g. Anthony Hopkins can't seem to decide on any one accent so sometimes drifts between two drastically different ones in the course of one sentence - but it was just so engrossing that it swept me along regardless. Fascinating story too, I'll have to read up on the actual events. Plus I spied a commentary with a historical consultant on the disc so i'll go back and listen to that at some point.

Do TT pre-orders ship early or arrive for the street date? Bought from SAE if that helps.

They don't usually ship early. You might receive an order on or shortly after street date.

Three from the forties, just so many forties films released on Blu-ray in the last couple of years, I'm very happy to say. I hope the colour looks good on these Fox films, those old Technicolor Fox films haven't looked great so far.

I'm very happy that Pin Up Girl is finally getting a BD release. I've seen that one a couple of times, more recently. Hussy looks very interesting too, although I'm not at all familiar with that one.

Grable said that MOTHER WORE TIGHTS was her personal favourite among her films. And, hey, it has Senor Wences in his only screen appearance!

HELLO, FRISCO, HELLO and MOTHER WORE TIGHTS! Hell yes! Gorgeous Technicolor and another Alfred Newman Oscar crossed off the list! Also, interesting to note that last June was also a musical-themed month, with MY GAL SAL, MY SISTER EILEEN and LET'S MAKE LOVE. I wonder what we can expect next year.

I assume they'll most likely be on par with the other Fox Technicolor films. There's not much they can work with since Fox trashed most, if not all, of their original Technicolor elements in the 70s and only have dupes to work with.

Still patiently (and seemingly forever) waiting for Twilight Time to release "The Long Ships" and "The Trouble With Angels" on Blu-ray. After 10 years or so, guess it may be time to start hoping Columbia/Sony cuts a deal with another label. Sigh......

TT tends to wait for remasters where Mill Creek and Powerhouse used tired older ones most of the time (TT had Breakout but passed on the master, for example). Considering how well The Quiller Memorandum turned out after years of crap transfers, I'd rather wait for it to be done right.

Nothing really jumps out at me from the June announcements, but I might go for the Betty Grable films. I love her in I Wake Up Screaming.

I've owned the TT bluray release of Inherit the Wind for a couple years now, and I just recently popped it in for the second time. The first time I did, there was an audio problem that was making it unwatchable, and this second time I'm watching it now it's still there =/

There's an odd dip in decibels at the beginning of every sentence any actor speaks, as if someone has their handle on the volume button and was constantly turning it down and gradually back up to the normal level during the sentence being spoken. . . .
I checked multiple scenes on my copy, IdeaOfEvil, and didn't hear anything like that - and I'd be very aware of a dip in volume in the dialogue. Weird. It almost sounds like you have some kind of auto-compression or noise reduction setting turned on somewhere, but I don't think it's the disc.
