I really like INSERTS, although it's not a lost masterpiece.

I particular admire the performances of Veronica Cartwright and Jessica Harper. I think both of them, especially Cartwright, could have been nominated for Oscars if the film had been a hit.

Cartwright uses a squeaky voice that suggests why her character didn't survive the changeover from the silents to the talkies.

Cartwright is definitely the star of the show.

Picked up The Big Fix. Haven't seen it in years but I remember liking it.

Also blind-bought Who'll Stop The Rain, which looks like a cool 70s flick, and Betty Grable's Pin-Up Girl which looks like a fun 40s musical.

Screen Archives also had the limited edition soundtrack CD to Fletch Lives, which I'm sure 90% of you out there think is a piece of shit but is one of my all time favourite comedies, largely due to nostalgia.

Also, there was a lot of talk earlier about 50s melodramas, but I just thought I'd throw out a recommendation to anyone who is interested in 50s musicals or comedies, that I bought My Sister Eileen in a previous sale. It's a fun movie with Janet Leigh and a young Jack Lemmon, as well as a young Bob Fosse playing a significant supporting role and performing in a few wonderful dance numbers including a "dance off" in an alleyway against the rival for his girl's affections.

I was gonna throw that one in my order but SAE shipping happened. I might put it in for another small order at TT's site later in the month.

Just curious, has anybody ever talked about how bad The Dogs of War is in here?

It might be the worst TT title I own (though to be fair, there's a couple I haven't watched.)

I find it more underwhelming than flat-out bad. For a film about mercenaries, it's shockingly boring for long stretches. It's also not one of Walken's better performances, but the script isn't giving him much help either.

I liked it

It was a fairly generic action movie though, nothing special.

Every time one of these sales happens, I say "Wow, "X" is almost sold out. I better order it." And 9 times out of 10, it is still available in the next sale. Well, at least I got the titles.

If prior history is any indication, he probably read some of the posts that were even the slightest bit critical of him, and then proceeded to lash out like an infant who just crapped himself and has no one to change his diaper.

Switching gears here, has anyone received a shipping notification from SAE for their sale orders?

Well I was kind of snarky towards him after one of his recent wall of texts grumbling about how Twilight Time's prices are so high, and they're not having good sales anymore, and how they are danger of going out of business, etc., etc. I didn't stick around to see what his response was, so maybe he lashed out at that. Funny thing is, this sale happened not long after that, so maybe Twilight Time were reading his texts and taking them to heart!

There were a few other posts echoing your thoughts as well, so it could've been lashing out at any (or all) of them. I'd already gone a few rounds with him months ago, so as of late I've been laying back and enjoying everyone else take their turns dealing with him, lol.

And yes, I also found it a little ironic that he had that wall of text and a few days later....voila! A sale!

It would be remarkable if it was the only wall of text he had ever posted, but with how many similar posts he has, it's more a case of the broken clock maintaining a non-zero accuracy.
