Cover Girl. That's the only one of the 27 (so far) TT titles I have in my collection that doesn't have an isolated score.

There are titles that I have no problem paying 20 for, especially if they are blind buys, but there's no way I'll pay 30 for. I'd say having a sale once a year or every couple of years isn't going to obliterate their business model. They've already had one sale, and they've started reissuing OOP titles and they still are going strong. The only thing that happens is you get people on here that cry about having paid 30 bucks before or I bought an OOP original Fright Night for 250 on Ebay, how dare they have a sale or reissue something! So if your latest niche cult film comes out from TT you wouldn't wait for a sale, because it would be gone...plus it never would go on sale if people were actually buying it.
And if they refuse to have sales maybe they should just avoid movies that aren't going to be big sellers at $30 a pop. Obviously horror, sci-fi and other genre stuff sells well even at that price, but Sleepless in Seattle? No. Let Kino and others do those kinds of titles.

Usually by release day. However, they posted an announcement in Facebook (which was reposted here some pages back), which said:

Twilight Time
March 5
UPDATE for the March releases -- hi all, just a heads-up we have been advised by our East Coast-based replicators, Cinram, that owing to inclement weather conditions shipments of the new titles to SAE may be delayed, so consequently SAE's shipping dates to consumers will be pushed back. SAE will likely receive the new releases on a "staggered" basis, so consumers who have only ordered one or two titles will get theirs sent first - those that ordered all will be held up till everything is in. An additional note: Since THE BOUNTY required extensive music and audio restoration, it will be running approximately one week behind the others. Thanks.

I have no idea which page of all 785 it's mentioned, but is The Bitter Tea of General Yen on Twilight Time's slate or was that a request? I just saw the DCP restoration from Sony on the big screen over at the AFI Silver this afternoon - and it looked fantastic - would love to own this on blu.

I haven't heard of it being mentioned as something that TT has in the works, but it's a good film for them to do. Among other things, they don't have a Capra film out or on the schedule.

Very few have - it was in post-production Hell for five years, with Francis Ford Coppola doing one of his infamous hatchet jobs on it before it eventually crept out to just six theaters - the film was so heavily altered that three songs were cut completely (including one of the best known from the show, Try to Remember, which is like cutting Singin' in the rain from Singin' in the Rain) and four abridged. The big news about this release is that, unlike the MGM/UA DVD which included the deleted numbers and 11 deleted scenes, this also has the original cut of the film as well.

Does TT ever do additional print runs of OOP titles? Golden Voyage of Sinbad and Eye of the Tiger are big wants, but the going secondary rates...yeesh.

They did for Fright Night and Journey to the Center of the Earth. They're doing Christine again at some point. I would guess any genre film that sells out quickly is something they'll look at doing again when the three year contract is up.

I doubt they release those two movies again as they took a while to sellout .

Wasn't it basically a month or pretty close to ship date?

I wouldn't describe that as taking awhile. Really only the horror titles went much faster.

That being said, I doubt they want to start the practice if re-issuing EVERY title that sells out. But if it the 3 years passes and it comes available again who knows.

Well they finally update SAE with the delay in shipping March titles. The snow storm was last week. The weather's been nice since Friday. They still haven't shipped. How long does it take them to recover from a snow storm? Geez.

Has anyone received a shipping confirmation on the March releases. My JTTCOTE shows "pending" on the website. I was wondering if anyone knew if TT had even received their shipments of the discs. I know the weather has been a factor in the delays.

I think he was joking. Those two Sinbad titles actually sold out pretty fast and I don't think anybody thought they would sell out like that. I would suspect they will be re-issued again at some point like Fright Night, which once again sold out like hotcakes.

Default Clear Cases...

Is there a list (or post) of all the Twilight Time releases that have come in clear cases? I tried searching the thread but couldn't find any definitive/recent list... and from the images on the first post it appears only Fright Night came in a clear case, is this true?

Also in searching the thread some were wondering if JttCotE would be clear (as in maybe their second pressings will receive clear cases as to differentiate them?).

I took that update more as "the weather has caused delays at our production house" rather than shipping delays. Who knows how far behind their production partner is.
