If only Newman or James Dean would have had the part (but then Novak wouldn't have fit with Dean so they would have needed a younger looking actress).

I find her like that in most of her films but she's so darned gorgeous who cares

Perhaps Dean and Natalie Wood, or Newman and Woodward.

Damn, didn't think it would sell out already. I was going through trying to choose all I was going to order, but obviously didn't get an order in in time. I guess the one good thing is it opens up a spot for me to buy a different title.

I like her, but yes.. she was not a very good actress. I have all of these films in the Kim Novak DVD set that was released a few years ago. I'd rank them like this:

1. Picnic
2. Pal Joey
3. Bell, Book, and Candle

none are 'great,' per se, but the cinematography might be enough for Picnic and Sinatra's charisma and the few musical numbers are enough in PJ to make it worth a watch.

I haven't seen this one, but I did pick it up. Should have it today.

What stadium was it filmed at? The film has a release date of '62. The Giants and Dodgers moved out of NY in '58, so I'm guessing that it wasn't filmed at The Polo Grounds or Ebbets Field.

He means a stadium that's being demolished now, it was filmed at Candlestick.
