Runaway Train
US - MPEG 4 AVC, 29994 kbps, English: DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 24-bit, English SDH subs (Region free)
UK - MPEG 4 AVC, 34887 kbps, English: LPCM 2.0 24-bit, English SDH subs (Region B)
I don't think bitrate always tells the story, but I would be very surprised if the Twilight Time was better encoded than the Arrow.

JP specs
LPCM Audio, 6912 kbps, 5.1 / 48 kHz / 24-bit

but....US PQ is probably closer to JP since they have almost identical bitrate. And JP don't have eng subs so I would probably go for US disc anyways.
Is the JP cropped too?

Could you please post the whole JP specs(video...) too ?

The U.K. Version of Bullet to the Head looks to have a much higher bitrate than the US Warner release. Anyone have any info about the U.K. release that would stop me from picking it up?

Aspect ratio: 1.85:1
Original aspect ratio: 1.85:1

I can do a bdinfo scan tomorrow if I remember, but AVS listed the US disc at 18 mb/s in it's review.

Update only

I, Frankenstein
US - AVC, DTS-HD MA 5.1 24-bit, English subs (Region A locked)
ES - AVC 24925 kbps, LPCM 5.1 4608 kbps 16-bit, no English subs
JP - AVC 27215 kbps, Atmos/Dolby TrueHD 7.1 5377 kbps 24-bit, no English subs (Region A locked) Best AQ

US and UK seems only to have 2D+3D using the same encode. Just like US Dredd. Always better to have separate encodes since they often have diffrent colors and brightness.

What are people's thoughts regarding the recent UK release of Heat? AQ better but PQ worse?

Seems like a tie on PQ for many, some like the new warmer look and others don't. Seems like some detail is gone compared to JP in my eyes and blacks are definiately more grey now and I don't think some colors look very good so in my book the old wins on PQ but it's a scene to scene thing.

AQ is now 24-bit and louder they say so that is a win maybe? JP have a little different audio to old US/UK and I haven't compared myself to the new.

Many seems to wait for UHD and see if that makes more difference.

This is owned by Warner worldwide so all the discs are the same.

Not in the UK. It's a 25GB disc for starters and the bit rate is slightly higher.
