I've got a fresh one I think. I bought Shout! Select's new Colors blu ray and watched it and thought it looked and sounded great. However, I read Hi Def Digest's review of it and they said that there is minor "clipping" issues with the audio. Has anyone else experienced this? If so is it also apparent on the British Second Sight release?

Yeah, that's what I meant, we agree that we're nitpicking to try and pick one. If I did a double-blind comparison of those screenshots, I'd come out thinking "Whichever one of those is the US is good enough for me."

THE RIVER (1984) is finally on Blu-Ray in the UK.

Gave it a quick review in the database --

With a high bit-rate AVC encode (upper 30's mbps) and both 5.1 DTS MA and 2.0 LPCM audio options, it's a nice upgrade on the HD-DVD version, especially in the audio department. The 5.1 track is especially strong and well mixed. Transfer has lots of natural grain and a lack of DNR, and also looks to be an enhancement.

No extras but region-free.

Runaway Train looks so much sharper overall on the Arrow. Not a minor difference. Weird.

Kinjite is a weird one. Quality and compression look roughly the same but the German has better color? Wonder why they have different colors if they're the same master.
